I remember seeing on CNN that there was some Video Game Olympics in Hong Kong or something. I guess if there would be big prizes if they win a competition.

As soon as you add money to the game, it changes everything I personally think it would be a catalyst to improve the competition or seriousness of the game. But then the poor people would be screwed, and the rich people would rule.

It would be funny to see some lonely rich kid be captain of some squad, and buy a pile of elite players.

How cool would it be to get some rich people on this game... see it as sort of a fun investment, and put together one or two teams that are sponsored? Imagine... Subspace turning into a competetive game :P

Just a note, this wouldn't be the first time a game has done this. If you look at Starcraft... their are actually several big business paying almost 200 "proffesional players."

It's just a thought... perhaps, if I get more money than I can spend, I'll invest in this little tiny game and let it prosper... but it better be a lot of money, I have bills to pay, houses to build and cars to buy... and let's not even bring up the whores that need to be shot.

Why not just donate the money to the server Thats something useful and garenteed. Thsi paying players is useless unless u have some sort of Contract. I heard it was 15$ a month or whatever he's paying certain ppl. Even tho ppl will just play till TWL comes then they'll go back to there regular squads. It isnt illegal newhere but its gonna probably get them INTO TWL then they'll lose them players who got them there.

we won from you when those ppl werent playing me flat metal revered and some other ppl and we also beat spastic without them i know its not much but i guess we could stay between top 12 without this and do twl, now i really dont know whats gonna happen but i think they might not do twl and perish will stay without good friends to play on int like metal that left.

They wont do twl and if they do it, they wont win much if they dont get back to friend thing, take a look at pallies or mambo they are friends that play well together and thats main reason they do good.

About this getting-paid-to-play, GP2P, if Perish has got the extra money to burn, I'd say why not. As long as there is no backstabbing involved, I'll abstain to it, meaning I don't care if its here or not.

We'll get Coca Cola in on the TWL championships, have each match (LD, LJ and LB) broadcast live internationally via the web, and then we'll get a nice shot of each dude from the winning teams taking a big swig out of their bottle of Coke. Winning a spaceship game championship makes people thirsty, right?

I cant imagine him "hiring" players to play for him if he wasnt trying to make TWL. The point im trying to make is, its obvious these players wont be there for TWL. So if interface does make TWL with these players doin the dirty work we'll have another squad dying off midseason. or another NS/BS goin 0-10 in the regular season. Just seems stupid to me to allow something like this. Even if they dont get paid they aer still ther for the time being winning games for them.

If he has so much money why dont he do something useful with it like donate it to the server or even more useful donate it to someone/something irl to help ppl. I know many organizations who constantly need money to be kept running.
