It is easy to change and fine tune the formulas. The was the whole point of designing the module that way. The problem is when I had to leave working on it, The twd database of rating wasn't up yet and I had no actual data over a period of time to test the formulas. Now, that it is up we can see that some formulas need adjusting, however I currently don't have access nor the time to do it.Originally posted by Stabwound
Since the shark is a totally different ship, its formula isn't going to be fixed by the variables I have just there. It has a totally different function. Before I left I had plans to make a switching statistic which counted the amount of times you died with the other shark still in the game (ie not dead). I think that could've helped a lot with the sharks formula status. However, that didn't eventuate due to my real life circumstances. Its not really hard to work on the MVP formulas but someone competant in math has to do it.
The problem is you just cant go raising all the formulas at your own will. You need to be able to visualize the effect that your raise is going to have on other ships.
Before I left, I made sure that implementing new statistics was made easier and easily integratable into the bots. Due to this new statistics should be able to be created with ease since most of the work I've already done. The only new thought that needs to be added is how is the new statistic going to be calculated.
So, I'll still be busy for some while before I will be able to work on this again. Most likely if no one else works on it it'll be till next year january before I can have access and start working on this code again. I know its far but thats life. You people need to understand that people are doing this for free and can only work around their real life schedules. A lot of people talk the talk but when it comes down to actually dedicating the effort to produce good results, somehow all their enthusiasm seems to vain. I'm happy to let other people who are competant take over and hopefully not wreck the structure already placed into the module. But make sure you have the dedication to devulge time and effort into figuring out what needs to be done.Comment

well it is easier, take a bunch of stats that are required and make them a set variable, use that to you rdifferent formulas and see where it gets you....
an average game should be a 1:3 or so ratio with a few tks and a couple terrkills. We should make a benchmark somewhere and start with that... but what is the benchmark? that will be the hardest part of finding the right formula....
maybe take a bunch of TWL shark stats and get an average out of that? i don't know, i'm just throwing out ideas here.There once was a man from Nantucket.Comment

*left out rep used thing cuz it's garabge...
i throw that into my calc
and get....
it doesn't = -10000...
so maybe the formula is just punched in wrong on the bot, I think the repels used is garbage, i think it needs to be removed from the equation... what purpose does it serve... axe that...There once was a man from Nantucket.Comment

Well it was more or less the sharks (boss and I) decided to keep our team on their toes so we mined any chance we got...hence why he had 13 tks as well. Although I'm too defensive to get agressive
