Please explain, all that would need to be done are the restrictions for squads trying to qualify for TWL and a checkbox for "Are you a TWD Normal or TWL Qualification squad?"

Paul, the only problem I really have with that proposition is that squads that may say "Hey, I wanna play TWL" but end up dissolving and messing up the whole ladder system (see the MANY instances of dropouts from last season). And naturally I assume that any "normal" TWD squad can play any "TWL qualifying" squad. Furtheremore, any squads participating in TWL when the season starts are under the catagory of "TWL qualifying?" Or are they removed from the ladders altogether. Will there be seperate ladders for each catagory?

Paul, you want to add a rule that you can't play a squad that's too far below you. If you're going to add the rule, simpler is better...it's too confusing with essentially 3 ladders- TWL playoff, TWL hopefuls, TWD everyone else. Might as well add it for all squads- after all, if playing someone too far down the ladder inflates your score, then prevent any squad from inflating their score.

But IMO, that's what ELO is for- if you play a squad that's way worse than you, you only get a couple of points. No big deal let people get their couple of points. And the tradeoff of adding restrictions is fewer squads to challenge.

When resetting the ladders, it would be nice if you didn't wipe ALL squad and player records. Having records of previous games shouldn't affect the rating of a squad in the ladders.

Since we are on the topic of ladders, perhaps someone could be hired to maintain the twd squadlist/ladder with only current and active squads. Any and all dissolved squads should be put to rest in a more timely fashion. (aka mystery r.i.p)

As mentioned earlier in this thread, it'd be good if the TWL qualifiers weren't decided by taking the first 10 or so from the TWD ladder. You could for example have last season's playoff squads + TWL ops decide the squads that get in.

Then it could turn into a popularity contest on what squads got into twl. Say the twl ops don't like a certain squadowner they could just say that squad doesn't deserve to get in and make up an excuse for it when it's only a grudge.

edit: Teams that win by forfiet shouldn't gain any points, they didnt EARN a win, they just sat there till time was up.
