  • TWDD-Extreme Idea

I was reading some of the Murphey's Laws of Combat Operations and came across one that was like "friendly fire... isn't" and was wondering what DD's would be like if everyone was on their own freq so you try to work with your squad but can kill them. We could maybe offer a point multiplier for these games, like you get/lose 1.5x the normal points if you play the DD as extreme.

    Hmmmm.. Interesting one.

I'd like that, but only squads which have high self-concious such as Sk8, Final etc most probably would do them.

But I think that it would be worth a try.

How would it happen that you can kill a person in your own team?

bot keeps track of player's team by name not freq, so we'd just have to make it so they can be added to different freq's.

So they would all be on different freqs.. Making them also not be able to shoot radarshots because they dont know who they are from radar. If you can solve it, so people can radarshoot without the risk of shooting their own teams player, it would be good

Sertifi, that's the point... it'd be like shooting a gun in real life you can hit and kill someone if you can't see them anywhere even if they are your friend.

                You know you scare me.

Is Extreme enough to scare people about that option on dd's?

I posted this in TWDev's forum as an idea, but wanted to see what the general public thought about it. So... what do you think?

                    i really like this idea.

It would give the euro squads a MASSIVE advantage tho we all know what americans are like with friendly fire :P

radar shooting is just aimed straying its not a real skill. most people with any skill (ie not me) can avoid radar shots as oppose to catch them

only thing that would make me sad is no more yellow chat

Yea, no yellow chat would be the only disadvantage.. but your squad could have a red chat specifically for a dd that's currently going. Or get on teamspeak and get a chat to yourself and play with talking like a real combat squad

No wonder, someone like you shouldn't talk about skills at all.

And about this idea, it favours rushers and close range people, making it based on luck.

If this idea was meant to be a part of TWDD, then no, its a bad idea. Maybe an event or something.

close range kills are an art in themselves.

The closer you are to someone the less "luck" comes into, if u cant hit someone from 1 inch away its your skill that is lacking, its not lack of luck.

Getting close to someone without them killing you is a skill in itself. Rushing can be avoided, and rushers if they mess up a rush are ez to kill.

Where as from a screen away you could a shot that happens to hit someone cos u aimed in the general direction (ie aimed radar shooting) and they forgot to dodge.

You should be able to distinguish friends from enemies using the radar. Having no team chat is a big minus and chat channels do not work as well, teamspeak is also right out. To summarise: In its current form, no.
