So we were bding brainwave, and I laid a mine right above flag like a moron, and while bw decided how they were going to kill my entire squad with it I decided to just change myself to spider and back to shark real quick. As an added bonus, I was fresh out of reps when I performed said maneuver, so I was able to come right back into THE action with 3 new reps which I used to go ahead and win the game. In fact, it was all so easy that I also had time to ponder on the ethics of what I was doing. It is a bullshit move, of course, which is why we got rid of the switch sharks ability. So how do we counter the quick switch of shark to spider and back? Simple, we add a five second delay in between all ship changes. Five seconds is the spawn time so sharks can't get 3 quick reps, and the delay should discourage sharks from changing in oRder to delete a poorly placed mine. Perhaps ten seconds will be necessary. Any longer will be a pain when captains actually want to use changes for legitimate reasons.

NOBODY respects base? I respect base. Loopholes, flagjupes...how about 8-10 whiners, laggots, and eaters all playing in a rectangular box with a few rocks and no flag flying around and pressing shoot a couple times before dying/getting subbed out and leaving squad.

base prolly the most skilled league, considering theres 100% more luck involved in jd/dd u can stray anyone anytime in those games, base u actually have to use teammates to help gain ground and break crams, not saying theres no teaming in dd/jd, there is, i know, im a ld champ coorder :fear: but in those types of games it is easy for 1-2 ppl to dominate a game from start to beginning without a team, in basing, u dont team u lose, period

Basing boils down to who has the laggiest player who can hit jav or warbird shots, not about who has the most skill. How can you even compare the infinitely complicated teaming process in twdd and twjd to the crappiest league of them all, twbd.

Good point kthx, of course most basing games don't have wbs or javs, but we all know that dd and jd don't involve laggy playas right. I'm just glad that my post of adding a small time delay to ship changes has turned into what I really wanted to see: kthx turning another thread into a "my league is more skilled than yours" thread.
