      3 Rounds too much!

      Hey guys. We just had 2 twfd games, 1 vs hit and 1 vs. disoblige, and we all kinda agree that 3 rounds of this is way too much. 5vs5 an average round takes about 18 minutes.

      I would want to know your opinion: 1 round or 3 rounds?

        you seriously need to limit warbirds or make them weaker. every other ships has no chance.

          The map is too big. As jones says it's so easy to shoot and hide as a warbird. Way too many walls and it's more like chasing or playing zombies than playing a division. Warbirds are extremely overpowered.

          Three rounds is a LOT! We just played 2 rounds (5v5) and both took like the entire 20 minutes. The rounds just ended like 2 minutes before. Imagine playing 8v8, I doubt any round will have a last team standing before the time runs out.

              meh, I've sort of played around with the idea that you would use some sort of flagging with fighterships, kinda like warzone, but worse:

                Altering original warbird settings: out of the question. Limiting the number of warbirds: acceptable, if not advisable. If games are too long, then maybe reduce the spec deaths or limit to one round?

                  just limit the wb to 1 per team.

                    Give lancs and spids more lifes than wb?
                    Lancs 12 spids 14?

                    Might need calculator (and round off in a negative way; "punishment") for when switching ships

                      k my squad just played this the other day and we had alot of fun, so congrats for finally making a fun league (sukdik twsd)

                      and yea was so ez 2 dominate with wb

                        Flared, love the new TWFD. Below are my thoughts.

                        -The map needs work, not sure exactly what.
                        -People are right in that the warbird is too powerful. There needs to be an equal set of ships with the warbird limited. Or maybe even only allow 1 warbird for each type of player amount?

                        5vs5 (2 spiders, 2 lancs, 1 wb)
                        6vs6 (2 spiders, 2 lancs, 2 wbs)
                        7vs7 (2 or 3 spiders, 2 or 3 lancs, 2 wbs)
                        8vs8 (3 spiders, 3 lancs, 2 wbs)

                          Ok so wb wasn't overpowered. It's ok because the lanc can totally own the wbs. Maybe the lancs on in those certain matches just sucked too many balls. I was pleased with it, would be cool with a slight, but slight, map change. I think if you can play to strengths of a lanc with the map then it would be more even considering it's the middle ship between wb and spid.

                            There should really be a rock, paper, scissors feel to this league, imo. Since the current ship settings are there to stay (as far as ship rotation, speed, firing, energy, etc.), maybe there are other things that can be done to achieve that and create a more competitive environment. Here's an overall look at the ships:

                            First [3pts] > Second [2pts] > Third [1pt]


                            Firing Abilily: Warbird [7 pts] > Spider [6pts] > Lancaster [5 pts]
                            Power: Advantage - Warbird [L3] > Lancaster [L2] > Spider [L1]
                            Recharge Rate: Warbird > Spider > Lancaster
                            Fire Speed: Spider > Lancaster > Warbird


                            Maneuverability: Warbird [9pts] > Lancaster [6pts] > Spider [3pts]
                            Speed (w/o afterburner): Warbird > Lancaster > Spider
                            Afterburner Distance: Warbird > Lancaster > Spider
                            Thrust: Warbird > Lancaster > Spider


                            Utilities:
                            Lancaster +1 for Multifire

                            Overall: Warbird [16pts] > Lancaster [12pts] > Spider [9pts]
                            From my assessment of the ships and the settings that matter, Warbird is more advantageous to use over a lancaster and spider. A lancaster slightly more advantageous to use than a spider. Spider being most of a hindrance. So two spiders[Total 18pts] will definitely overpower a warbird[16pts].

                            League rules and map environment can +1 for each ship evening out the fields. Maybe teams should have twice the spiders than warbirds at any given round and Lancasters be given more utilities like repels or an advantageous map environment like narrow passages.
