Finally, a new thread to get away from that mumbo jumbo about who's the best jav and terr and wb and lanc and levi... and ON to... who's the best squad :/ Ugh, well I can't say it's that much better, but it's finally time we go on from flaming each other, to flaming each other's squad mates! Oh wait, we already do that... well in any case, it's time to move onto another thread.
Now make all the predictions you want, I'm going to lend my insight on this year's basing scene. Seeing as I'm mostly a baser, it would be unfair for me to try and predict Dueling and Javing.
Let's start off with the squads that have already made it, shall we?
The People that Made Playoffs and Don't Need to Try to Get Into TWLB this Season Awards:
Disoblige
Spastic
Mambo
Anti-Scrub
Pallies
Well let's see here, that's already a whopping 5 squads that we have this season! So let's do the math... 16 + 5 = 21 ... 21 - 1 = 20 20/2 = 10 and 10+1 = 11... So we have 11 spots to fill this season! Most of the squads are saying "Bring it on" but who really has the greatest chance of making it this year?
Let's Look at the Competition:
Note: These are personal opinions, if yours conflict with mine, you're probably just wrong.
1. Rejected Basers: Man, these guys really have it in them, more than any of the contenders, to make the Leagues this season. They seem willing to do anything to get there as well.
People to watch out for: Lunch3, Vatican Assassin, Vehicle, K2grey, WPE
2. Incuria: What can I say? A bunch of sexy people, just looking to make this season? That would probably be the best way to describe this incredible, outstand, stupendous squad!
People to watch out for: Zerzera, Molgan, Bliz, Panhandler, Fairlights
3. Whiterabbits: Suprisingly, they didn't make it to playoffs last season. A lot has been said by them that they "won't be playing this season in basing." Yah right WRs, who are you trying to kid?
People to watch out for: Pyroblast, Ezo, Pure_Luck, Raidar
4. Tanked:Their moto is: Rosstones + Cig Smoke + Abstract = Tanked. Tanked as in wasted? Well, I can tell you one thing, this TWD season will not be wasted, you guys have shown the stuff needed to make it to this year's leagues.
People to watch out for: Cops, Thix, Cig Smoke, GammaHydroxy
5. Melee: If you can guess who I'm talking about with this short description, you'll win the grand prize of a dirty diaper. "What squad has taken the bold move of converging from a three league squad to a one league squad in hopes to win all the bananas?" If you guessed Melee, you're on your way to a fun time!
Players to watch out for: Adman, Bosshawk, Bartman, POID
6. Grapevine: What a badass colour, for a badass name, for such a badass squad! Grapevine has the great opportunity of becoming a three league squad this season, and there's no doubt they'll make playoffs in at least one of them.
Players to watch out for: Phrenitis, Randendelneld, Weaver, Tobe or not Tobe
7. Syndicate: Lots of talk about Jard and his awful terring... the truth of the matter is, Syndicate picked up a decent terr, and will make him shine this season because of the sheer power of their lineup!
Players to watch out for: Fireballz, Jard, Demonfaze, Burnt
8. No Surrender: Well, I really have no idea what's going on with these guys, but it seems they just reset their scores AGAIN, and are off to get some points. We'll most likely be seeing them this season
Players to watch out for: Invincible, k-i, cool koen, Mr. Magoo
9. -Final-: You know, these guys are next on my list, but I haven't really seen a lot of them basing wise. They have a couple regulars in ?go base, but don't seem to be pulling it together for BDs. They deffinetly have the talent to be in TWLB, but they really need to get their activity up to be able to even think about it.
As I neared the last two qualifying spots for TWLB, I became sad. I really didn't see anybody that stood out right infront of me and said, "Paul, I'm going to make TWLB and be good competition this season, because I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and I like me." So, I'm just gonna throw out a bunch of names that could make it.
10-11. This is the closest to poop colour I could find for these squads: Sk8, Paladen, BasingCrew, Elenya, PUMA, Avalonian
Players to watch out for: I really wouldn't take the time to "watch out" for anybody on these teams... they don't deserve your time. I really HOPE some of these "basers" can prove me wrong this season, I really do.
