I basically agree with everyone... cept for Genes and A2m, Dunno who.. but somebody actually made a good post about sk8.. Something like that we could get far.. but dont have the stability to actually make it all the way.. Kinda agree with that.. genes is just full of crap.. and A2m picks dragonguard over Sk8 in twld? .. uh huh... (btw cig I love you)

I think there wont be any big surprises this year.. and that most predictions are pretty close..

Just curious how some of u are putting Dragonguard in ur top 5 instead of sk8 Maybe im missing something since i rarely duel, so id like to know. Mega newbie can only carry them so far, and thats IF he stays theree. He's 1 of them elite squadhoppers.

Dragonguard has some more good pilots. Sk8 has a decent roster, but somehow they never seem stable or try hard enough.

dragonguard has janitor metalkid and mega newbie, those 3 alone can beat sk8 3v5 imo.

Hmm...i have an idea for the next TWL season...could it be possible to create a bot that you could tpye some command to like !qualify....that would pm you all the squads that are qualified for twl?(as in take the auto-qualifiers...and then take the top people from each ladder for teh amount of spots?)

You guys all have your fancy predictions, so I'll show you mine now.

Disoblige - last season's overall best squad. Always a fan favorite, and a favorite of mine. If lived in some miserable backward european country, the only comfort I would have is that I could hang with these guys. If my squad wins even one of the three leagues, that's cool, but as a captain that doesn't do shit, my real goal is for us to dethrone them as the best overall squad.

Spastic - Won basing last season, they lost PL to whiterabbits which was a bummer to us (we offered him a spot, he snubbed us) and to them I'm sure. I think their win was largely due to their awesome sharks. People who think it was a fluke or whatever are retarded. almost every squad used the cram, but because spastic does it so well, people knock them for it. fuck the haters. I don't know what else they're good at, but theyr'e definitely base contenders.

Whiterabbits - I don't really know what's going on over there, but they picked up PL which is nice for them, and we based them the other day and they beat us in a good game. they weren't supposed to play in TWLB, but I guess they are now and they'll be a top 5 squad easy, maybe gunning for the top. What else are they good at? javs maybe?

Pallies - this is the squad I'm in, so I like them almost as much as some of the other squads that I'm not in. I think pallies will make playoffs in all 3, and be serious contenders in 2 of the 3. we recently picked up vihta, and i hear he's good at something, so that should be fun.

Tanked - I guess cig smoke is in this squad. they're probably jav players, I'm sure they'll do something.

grapevine - this is rand's squad. I like rand and have a lot of faith in his ability to put together a decent team. I don't remember who else is on it, but I think they're good duelers. I would assume they'll be playoff contenders in base too, I think 4 squads go to playoffs? I think gv will be on the bubble. good luck to them.

anti-scrub - brookus is on this squad. I like brookus too, but I always end up over-rating them because brook is so good. this season I'm just gonna assume that my over-rating is wrong, and predict them for a 6th place in twlb. I don't know what else they play.

syndicate - this thread says that these guys are elusive II, so I can only assume that it's true. they're probably insane good duelers. they might win twld, and make playoffs in twlj. maybe they base too, we'll see.

pirates - awesome is on this squad. I hope they dissolve. I made a bet that they will, but they just keep lasting, I might lose my bet. I think they claim to be good javs, maybe they are, what do I know?

rejected basers - I don't think they do anything but base. I hope they pull some good wins, but I don't have a lot of faith. The thing that might kill them is dueling squads that decide to base. For some reason I see them losing to guys like grapevine and syndicate and falling short of playoffs.

What ur forgetting Download is, that is 3 pilots, TWL is 5. There will be 2 weaker wingman and that will hurt DG in TWL. Not to mention if 1 of those 3 pilots cant show every week (which MK prolly wont) then they'll really be in trouble. Even if those 3 came i'd take SK8 over them.

a lineup of : abyss, anzu, bill c, evoce, dd, horny elf, jinco, killermech, mikena,monkey, mufe,mysteriious,pred, reaver,rogue,skeleton, with ease.

As u can see thats 17 capable pilots of goin 1:1 in every game they play. Im not saying they'll win TWLD but my point is on any given day if they dont get 5 solid starters out of 17 good pilots listed above they got problems. Dragonguard reliies on 3 pilots while Sk8 has 17 to rely on. Not to mention Mikena is as good as metalkid, and lots alot better then janitor. Mega is the only one who stands out alone on his own pedistal. Yet meg cant win 5v1. I'd take sk8's 5 best pilots over DG's any day. Aside from Meg, they cancel out skill wise (mk/jan) and there 4th and 5th pilots would be better. Not to mention they practice like how many games a day so there teaming should be superb.

On a side note, who knows if MEGA will even stay with DG b4 TWL comes or b4 the roster lock.

violence, your squad is solid for sure, and deserves twl definitely. but i was on solstice last season and we were in the exact same situation you are in now. we had a pretty good (not great) squad that most people considered newbs, and we beat rampage in a couple dd's, beat elusive in a couple dd's, consistently owned most of the squads. we started posting comments like yours just now, everyone started hating us, blahblahblah. point is, our first twld match we got owned like 50-35 by egyptian, a squad that we were like 10-0 against in twd. its just way different and if youve played leagues before (im not sure if you have or not) you should know what i mean.

to give you a little example, you guys are 1-1 against synd, the one that you won, we played the first round with 2 pure javs who combined for 2-10 and lost us the round. the 2nd round we had a good line, but abstruct is in our chat talking about how hes going to bring his rush game or some bullshit, and ends up going 5-10 in like 3 minutes...we have a fluke bad round and you beat us 50-49, game over. good job, you guys are solid. but no one takes it half as seriously as a real match dude.

either way, even if you are the #1 squad and you end up owning twl, youre better off not posting shit about who you've beat in twd, no one gives it credibility and its annoying. i understand that you are just trying to defend against haters, but just be patient, ignore it, and then shut people up with your actions in matches, not by trying to post little snippets about how good your twd rec is against top 5 squads.
