    Last week:

    D: 8/8 - 100%
    J:8/8 - 100%
    B:5/7 - 71%

Wr - as wrong / Spastic - mambo wrong

    Season Total:

    D:85%
    J:88%
    B:66%

    THIS WEEK:

    Trench Wars League Dueling

Disoblige Vs Syndicate - Simply overpowering is the best way to describe the synd wb line thus far. Diso has been fighting hard, but i doubt they have the bench needed to pull out a win.

Pallies Vs Grapevine - Blood seems to hopfully be out of his slump and vihta got his lowest kills per game last week (a shitty 12 (finished 12-4)) so I'm going to have to go with Pallies. They've got a far deeper bench than GV. (Side note: is there a reason Mattey isn't playing anything in any division this season?)

Ancients Vs Sk8 - Sk8 is rolling along to the playoffs, Ancients aren't.
DragonGuard Vs Melee - I just have a feeling Melee could actually win a game. DG just plain sucked last week in both divisions getting crushed by shriek and ancients respectivly. 4 guys also left (i didn't bother to check who, it's unimporant) so dg seems to be coming apart a bit. GO MELEE!

Pirates Vs British Squad - Both teams need a win to keep fighting for the playoffs, but a loss wouldn't kill either team. Colonel made me rich in TWLM-D last week. Pirates have the bench, BS has well austin powers (movies 1 and 2 were on today, i hated goldmember though). The Royal Family has big ears, they'll catch to many bullets.

Shriek Vs -FINAL- - -Final- just looks good in bold. See? -Final- - -Final-. I love vigilanty though, and if anybody can pull out a win here it's shriek but i doubt it. -F- did have issues showing starters (no raspi, no sika) to the last LD, but this is a bigger game so they should be there.

Rapid Vs Verone - Rapid is simply a better team and absolutly needs a win.

Avalonian Vs ALF - It was hard to bet on ALF, because dele will do something silly and get half of his squad banned - but i'll stick with the little martian. "Yo!"

    Trench Wars League Javelin

Disoblige Vs Melee - Clearly the bigger name indicates that Disoblige will be victorious. Just ask Download, Nethervoid, Mantra-Slider or Da1andonly. Don't ask POiD, he wouldn't know.

Pallies Vs Syndicate - Would be a huge upset if Pirates could do it, but they can't and won't. I would venture as far to say Javs aren't even the Pirates best league anymore. Yarrrrrr...

(Hahaha, I can't fucking read. Thats Pallies not Pirates. (there my pirates synd pred whenever that game comes) I'm Still stickign with Syndicate, because the pallies jav lack of teamwork will show through in a big way. vihta owns you though.)

Ancients Vs Mambo - FUCK do i not want to pick a winner. Mambo has sucked hard for quite awhile, but ancients suck hard all the time except for one guy, who changes every week, and saves them. I'll go with Ancients because Mambo has no bench at all.

DragonGuard Vs Tanked - Tanked gave -Final- a great run for there money last week. I expect a convincing win.

Elenya Vs Pirates - Hopfulyl a 50-0 win so they'll drop out, but i think they'll show. (insert pirate joke)

-FINAL- Vs Sk8 - Here is a possible upset. Sk8 has a solid jav core, where as -F- has only a few and is far more dependant on good games from certain people. Again though, Final is just so pretty in bold.

Grapevine Vs Rapid - Another possible upset. Rapid had a great game last week, they need to keep it up.

Hinder Vs Shriek - Won't be close, buy your shriek javs now (not a2m, he's worse than your grandmother)

    Trench Wars League Basing

Disoblige Vs Incuria - A Diso loss will end there season, a win will keep it alive, at least a little longer. I'll admit, i'm worried and curious as to what would happen to the diso basers if they lost here and were in all liklyhood officially eliminated from the playoffs. I think they're on a roll though as they did get the first win, and very convincingly. Inc needs to regroup for a shot at playoffs.

Pallies Vs ReJeCtEd BaSeRs - Pallies is the better team, but again I feel an upset. RB is super solid and is very capable of doing it. (EDIT: You know, I was just about to reply to this, when i decided to change my answer. Now whoever wins i'm partially right. I'm feeling Pallies, 4 allstar sharks with one of the best terriers of all time and a bench deeper than Slutty Sally - well, you get the picture.)

Sk8 Vs Syndicate - Synd making a run for the Cup, Sk8 making a run for the bottom.

Spastic Vs whiterabbits - Rematch of a wicked preseason game, I just don't feel the rabbits can pull it out. Spastic is determined to prove it was a one time shot, or because of lag, or whatever else, and wr need to regroup from possibly the worst loss in the squads history. Although i think it'll be close enough, spastic will win, but wr will make strides to get back to the winning ways.

Mambo Vs Shriek - Mambo is immirging as a possibly Championship contender in a big way, look for more dominance.

-FINAL- Vs Anti-Scrub - Match of the week. -F- has to many lag issues, and issues at terr, and lack of solid spiders other than they're starters. This is a prime chance for yet another A-S win, and a chance for them to put space between them and another Western Conf Rival (first place overall and top seeding comes into play as well)

BasingCrew Vs Melee - i gave you a win already, what else do you want from me?

    Anti-Scrub : TWLB Champions?

TWLB Champion Anti-Scrub? At the beginning of the year who would have guessed? It was thought to be a three horse race in Pallies, Spastic and Disoblige – but much has changed since then. A-S probably wasn’t even the 4th seed, as others would have put mambo, with possibly even –final- and wr over them. Time for you all to become believers. They stand atop the very difficult TWLB West Division with a record of 4-1. They stand above teams such as Spastic, -Final-, Pallies and the Rejected Basers. Lets start at the top and work down. Brookus, what can be said. He was unkillable in the scrubs absolute crushing of whiterabbits last week. His season totals are a mere 159 kills, 17 deaths, with 9 terr kills. Wow. With an average of 9.4 kills per death, and a terr kill for every two deaths (not to mention all the other tek’s of the other players, but we’ll get to that) makes for a rather outstanding rate. In his 4 games this season (3-1) he has allowed no more than 3 deaths per game (3 to bc, 3 to shriek, 0 to wr) in all three wins, and a mere 11 (not bad for a losing terr) in the single loss to basing powerhouse Pallies. Brookus has long been considered one of the “big 3 or 4” but has stepped up let again, with legitimately less talent around him that the other big terrs and has proven his staying power. Looking at the big 5 (just for arguments sake) warportal is a shadow of his former self and has fallen behind the times. Mitch it could be debated isn’t even –F-‘s best terrier. Pure_Luck has struggle with ups and downs all season and Mythrandir although playing extremely well, has far more talent with him, and has more deaths on average per game than brookus. Brookus averages 4.25 deaths per game, wow. The Anti-Scrub sharks are no slouches either. Jr5 and za gopher have fielded the majority of the twl duties – a surprise when you have the lieks of windreaper and melt down on your team – and have filled in very well, providing a strong wall (and in this past instance, unbreakable) of defence around Tony B. The spiders are where A-S really stands out though. Holydude can rip you apart. With 279 kills in a tiny 3 games (and 1 that only lasted for 15 minutes, half a game really) he has shown what a powerhouse he can be. He would have gotten 200 kills in the game versus Pallies if it had been an old style basing game. Spybreak! The master of defensive spidering (it’s not camping if you have 5, it’s being defensive – that’s what I’m calling it anyways) has an impressive ratio of 2.4 kills per death through 4 games (353 kills – 147 deaths) and is a very impressive last line of defense. Throw in solacer, nethila and a handful of other very impressive spiders and you’ve got a very good chance of going the distance.

I’d also like to hand out a few “props”

-Disoblige for finally winning a TWLB match.
-Tanked and Rapid for giving very impressive fights to jav powerhouses –F- and Shriek.
-Melee for getting it’s 2nd forfeit win (way to go fellas)
    -Pirates for possibly dissolving Avalonian
-Hinder – despite the critics you’ve shown up and delivered a good fight in every game so far. Keep it up.

That’s 2 TWLB editorials back to back, barring something awesome happening it’ll be a ld or lj next week (I promise)

its seriously disturbing for some reason to see anyone giving spybreak! props. that guy is the most blatant camper/rec whoring player ive ever seen in any zone ive ever played. if i cap'd that squad id bench him.

Still think your understanding of basing is not so good but you are getting more and more towards what I think. Mostly need to see which squads went up against which, where did they win, by what time, and get a picture only full of maybe like 5 upsets while the rest were just what should have happened.

Top 4 contenders for LB imo is, in this order of probability:

                Pallies
                Spastic
                Mambo
                RB

                with Incuria, Shriek, and/or A-S having a shot at 3rd or 4th.

PS I benched someone partly for camping, it can and hopefully will be done for the betterment of whichever squad....and hopefully they won't leave. Camping doesn't help the team manuevering enemy into corner, and allows enemy to regroup, but usually one camper is good as long as it is only one....errr 2, blah.

                  Good post.

You're right who could have predicted for Anti-Scrub to come out that strong? They deserve it though. They too have seen the 'dark' side. I guess now it's time for Brookus and co. to finally cash in. Let's not get ahead of things though. Still 5 more weeks to come, that I'm sure will be filled with more upset in the basing division.

Imo this already is the best basingseason ever. Never before was the league this competitive, this close. Best promo we could wish for!

                  Top terrs?

Mythrandir, Brookus, Mitch and Pure_Luck all have impressed me alot this season. Myth and PL are capable of getting insane ammounts of kills. Brookus and Mitch will die less in games, focus on positioning in flagroom, and use a lot less bullets. It's arguable what style is best for the team. Both have their benefits. But let's not forget about Superstar, Azurus or Necromontic. They too have played some great games. These guyz are relatively new in the terringbusiness, compared to the four mentioned above. Keep in mind they often don't enjoy the luxury of an overpowering or well ballanced team to protect them. Resulting in more pressure on them, with all the consequences of that.

When summed op like that, Brookus stats this season are impressive! Hats off for sure.

                  greetz!

Haha, A-S as champs? You've gotta be kidding. Look at who they've beaten thus far:
                    BasingCrew 15:00 - 6:24 23 10 1:31
                    Win Week 2 Melee 15:00 - 0:41 23 4 8:39
                    Win Week 3 Shriek 15:00 - 12:28 16 11 0:40
                    Loss Week 4 Pallies 10:57 - 15:00 21 19 -1:20
                    Win Week 5 whiterabbits 15:00 - 0:37 13 14 1:03

compared to who they have left:
                    -FINAL-
                    SK8
                    Spastic
                    ReJeCtEd BaSeRs
                    Incuria

Let's make sure they make playoff's before hailing them as impending champs.

haha, you think I just sit back whoring and shooting randomly

I simply shoot and dodge, snipe, and play smart; I can kill just as easily close as I can far (that you refer to as 'camping'), not to sound like an arrogant ass. But it's just an old terr instinct that lets me avoid deaths at all costs.

So shoot me because I like to preserve my deaths and stay alive and on hand. I say that you can do more for a team alive than dead. Don't take me for some newbie who happens to only camp, if I were to really camp I would prolly kill half as much. Consistency is also key; being able to stay alive every game every minute. If it's working then why try to fix something that isn't broken? Koan or dttr can probably relate, how being dead is useless when you could easily live and continue to kill.

lol Nickname, thanks for the flattering words about AS... but uhh, paragraphs are also flattering to your post

nah man, we can win any/all of the games we have remaining. the only reason this is a must-win is because its a squad that probably wont go 1:1 in the whole season, so those ones should be wins for us.

Just a few disagreements with warp:
-Necro and superstar are all lag. If the bot allows them to actually enter TWLB arenas, there's more lag than skill involved in their play. Both die in the cram far too much to be considered top tier, and we probably wouldn't even be talking about them if they weren't on spastic/mambo respectively.
-Ajaxee has come a long way this season and deserves a mention. Most people thought WPE would start bot, since she seems to have hit her terr ceiling, ajax has picked up RBs #1 spot. They also have RR, who, while competent, is also a complete dickface and will probably continue to be benched on 'tude alone (if he shows at all).

On a side note, a lot of the basingcrew people have been trying terr in ?go base lately. I'm still waiting for one of them to make me say, "woah that's the next guy".

Mattey, AS is going to beat 3-4 of those teams leaving them with a 7-3 at the worst. They'll make it unless something freaky happens. We definetly had a horrible game, but no one on wr expected them to be push overs coming in to this. I learned my lesson season 5 when I underestimated AS, I won't do it again.
