Shriek and New Squad Invites

the lock was a couple days ago, we arent talking about a massive unbalancing of the league, we are talking about extending the deadline to switch squads by 3 days, the same type of thing could easily have happened legally before the weekend if league ops had presented their evidence of the cheating before the lock. just the fact that they didnt catch this until right after the lock, when untap played in prior weeks to me suggests that it would be reasonable to let these guys slide. in this situation the innocent shriek players were let down most of all by merce, but also indirectly by the league staff for not catching this and disqualifying them prior to the lock, since cheating had taken place prior to that. individual players do not have the ability to see who is cheating and who isnt, staff does. again im not saying its anyone's fault but merce's, just that a few days lock extension would be reasonable.

Well... you do bring up some good points, but the soft roster lock on Week 4 (which by the way was cancelled after the bots didn't handle it correctly) was meant to stop things like this from happening. Yes, it is pretty unbalancing because you're throwing 30 (more or less) good people into the TWL player pool, on Week 7.

If they are allowed to play, then I would think that the 3 guys from Diso that got axed today and were talking about it on here should be allowed to join another squad too.

Lol! Definancy in TWLB. I thought Tanked got a reserve spot on TWLB. If not, still, Avalonian or Tanked deserves that spot more than Definancy does.

Now all we can do is sit down, watch Melee win their first ever TWLB game at week 8 which was suppose to be against Shriek.

i also think that Tanked or so would play that spot, but now some squad that doesn't even know how to write twlb and can't even find the twl site etc plays it, but hey, that's the rules

One more thing that I missed in TWBD Standings.

I realized that Asevoimat has more points than Definancy in TWBD. They were off the standings because they haven't played for a long time. But still, yesterday I still saw AseVoimat with 1300 ratings over Definancy. May be THE PUSHER you should check that out first :P

I'm not talking about Shriek being DQ'd...

I'm talking About Ass Vommit, and The other newbie squad making it into TWLB. They'll take the invite, lose all their games and then dissolve just like Avalonian will after they get dropped from TWL.

Just more psots taken that could be given to BETTER more deserving squads.

I feel sorry for the Shriek guys and I would want to be able to join another squad if I was in their position, but I have to say that I hope they don't let anyone from Shriek play TWL on another squad this season. I know it's not their fault, but think about it; how is it fair if some lucky squad or two suddenly gets to play with a few new starters from Shriek, especially this late in the season? I think that keeping TWL fair and balanced as a whole is a lot more important than keeping a handful of people happy after getting screwed over by a stupid captain.

EDIT: Oh, and it looks like both a2m and Annul (co-captains) were there when he played on his aliased name. If they let him, I don't think they deserve much leniency.

They'll go to the new squads, just like it did with Alf and the other new squads that joined earlier in the TWL season. I would assume anyway....

Just out of curiosity how does this violate rule 3.02. I understand it's a clear violation of rule 3.04 which is enough to get the squad kicked out, but it's not really double squadding at least in the way doublesquadding is defined in the rules.

On another subject, when some guy no one has heard of suddenly is recruited to a squad not known for letting just anyone join, and then starting in your twlj and twlb games isn't it safe to assume the majority of shriek knew what was up? I mean no one is going to give away their spot in the lineup to some random dude unless they know who he is. Unless the caps made up some amazing story.

Next time someone feels like making some TWL Rules why don't you make one that counts like "Any squad qualifying for TWLB must have played 25% of base games having 8 players". Sometimes I clap at the bang up job you guys are doing. Here's yo you :up:

Doesn't it say that you can't have two names squadjoined to any one squad...not even having two on the same squad?
