rapid's got to play us to keep that last playoff spot, and they just took a 36 kill sha-lacking in javs this week to us- are they shook? can they shake it off? you gotta come into games with squads like -final-, or even us (in LJ/LD) this season with the attitude that these are just kids at their computers, you start thinking about "oh banzi is an all-world talent, i have to be careful" and you're fucked. good luck fellas.

The diso/whiterabs game is fucking great, the circumstances are unbelievable, two struggling "basing teams" who have somehow managed to keep a foot in the playoff door, against all odds, battling it out, head to head in the second to last week- doesn't get more epic, I wish i could be around to see it.

wr beats diso 15-6. diso puts up an initial wr fight but is overwhelmed by ezo and ... well ezo just destroys everyone by himself. wp will put up a valiant effort but will be let down by over aggressive sharks and unexperienced dueler spids.

this prediction based on seeing zero games this season.

Good day, the underlined portion of the following represents matchups for this, week 9 (yoooo motherfuckin hooooo) of TWLB, the underlined portion will be directly followed by my personal predictions for the outcome of the matches. My opinion does not reflect the opinions of Priitk, Dock>, or the Trench Wars Community as a whole.

Anti Scrub vs. Rejected basers
When the Devil on my left shoulder and Angel on my right are at rest, I am visited by two more independent voices. One tells me this is Anti-Scrub by a handful, the other says "no this is the 'upset' of the week". I don't know, Rejected Basers got housed by -final- last week, but i think -final- is quite a bit better than a-s, so i don't know- maybe the difference between them is where RB is- having said that, I'll take Anti-Scrub by a handful

Disoblige vs. whiterabbits
Good Googily goo. Look what the cat dragged in. These two former-pretty boys of the basing league look like they went 12 rounds.... with MY DICK... with a boxing glove on it. But okie dokey baby, they're STILL IN IT like tantric. Diso's got those irresistable basing hall of famers, but they've also got a bad case of the sloppies. whiterabbits seems better suited as a charming underdog than as contenders- but with a win over the best team in the game, is there any doubt that the fuzzy bunnies can't bring it when the time is right, the wine is right. So what happens here? In my little fantasy world, my butt buddies (i.e.- we fuck) disoblige gets motivated this week and rides the keyboard all week and they set themself up to get in these playoffs. I also fantasize about attracting beautiful women, so who knows what happens here. If you'd asked me 2 weeks ago, i'd say whiterabbits slaughters them, but confidence can do a lot for a euro on hard times. I'll take Disoblige by a few minutes

Melee vs. Defiancy
I like melee, i played them last week and they played a 4/1 with server at jav and they came at us. was a good time, i like the teams that have combat ships in their line. Defiancy played a fucking lanc against sk8, I was excited to see it, they were up by a lot and i thought "fuck yeah, there's gonna be a lanc squad"- but they lost, and now i wonder if they'll abandon that lineup or see what they can do with it. Hard game to call but I'm taking defiancy.

Mambo vs. sk8

I thought sk8 would upset one big team this season- it won't be mambo.

-final- vs. spastic
wow, I guess this is a real show and prove for both teams- I assume we'll be seeing 10 spiders in play- these guys have pretty similar styles. This could in theory eliminate one of these teams from the playoffs, it's also a battle of two of the top 4 teams overall in basing. I'll take -final-

Incuria vs. Syndicate
Nice game, well matched and all that shit. I really thought/think Syndicate is big time basing caliber this season, they just haven't been astounding yet- Incuria is the best new thing to come out of TWDs as far as TWLB is concerned. Interesting match for seeding, but I'm guessing both teams get in to the playoffs. I'm taking Syndicate to win this one

BasingCrew vs. Pallies
Gonna have to miss this one i think, should be a slaughter. have you seen us play lately? phoooo boy. There's gonna be trouble. Not sure there's an answer this time around. Polish your shit, we appraise and re-sell at no extra cost to you.

It sucks because our 2 javs (which are pretty damn good) never seem to make matches :P I want to keep our lanc, Abatis ain't bad. I don't think we will be adding the lanc vs Melee though, more likely Ravenfeather (jav) or Death3d (wb).

Div: I agree with you that the WR/Diso matchup is one of the coolest games of the season, regardless of result. This is the GOOD side of having conferences: matchups like this can happen if one conference turns out to be bottom-heavy. Would any of us argue that Diso and/or WR, playing at their best, don't deserve to make playoffs? Certainly not. And the conference system is giving them a shot at it.
