I agree that time race certainly brings about the realization that a squad can't fuck around at all because even if its 14:59 to 0:00 they could still lose.

Maybe somehow the flag jupe bug thing could be fixed/worked on in the offseason, otherwise back to points race?

The only way to fix the bug is to have Priitk release continuum version .39

Assumign he does, it still doesn't draw attention to the bot lagotus that make it have to restart everytime where as with poitns the host can manaually add them.

1. The team can push into FR without knowing they're giving the enemy a gazillion points.

2. It allows comebacks, in points race if the other team has 16 min on flag, plus all the flag points per kills, pluss the reward points, that can get you a whole lot of amount of points. In time race a squad can comeback, lets say team 2 is at 12:00, the other team still has a chance to win it.

3. If a person specs during a BD the flagpoints from the people in spec are added together int he total.

4. The flag is the whole point of basing, it should be the way it is.

5. Sharks have to continually die to gain reps, which can give the enemy team a lot of points.

I do think tho that next TWLB maybe the time limit should be risen a bit. I mean there are very few games who were close to the 30 minute mark and alot of games that went by in like 16 minutes =( Not fun to watch quick games and so on.

I am confused on what nick wants to much like voth, do u mean the poitns races (as the title says) or the 30 minute game such as last season and b4 that. I mean the points race wouldnt really work w/o the bot and so on neway. the 30 minute games would and could be hosted w/o a bot. After viewing this season and playin in a fwe games, i'd have to definatly say that the time race is way better then 30 minute games and so on bc u can always come back and win. I do tho dislike how kill counts and stuff are alot lower then years past. Its always fun to watch bram rack up kills close to 200 and so in spider. Those days aer over tho.

We really should have the OPTION of doing either point race or time race. But then there would be the problem as to how league standings are calculated, etc etc. Lets just stick to what we have now and not draw in the sand.

edit: I agree with the dependency on the bot issue, our last twl we were 8:30-0:00 and the bot died.

I agree with everything except unlimited switches and changes/subs that be umm crazy.

I love time race, comebacks are just awesome, it makes the game so much more exciting. We also ran into the same problem last season with points, but the games weren't as close as they are now (skillwise) so people didn't realize what was happening a lot of the times, until the dreaded Cami vs Diso game. Switching back to the old way is just going to make games more boring, there's a point at which combacks aren't possible with the old way, and attacking the cram more aggressively can result in a loss, even if you hold the flag longer than the other team. Time race is what basing is about, holding the flag and keeping people out of the flag room, pushing them down into lower. WIth the old way, people were letting the other team come to the cram so that they could score massive amounts of points. Time race has had a psychological effect on many that play, which in turn makes the games a lot more exciting to play and watch.

The flag issue is not something to take lightly, however changing the whole style of play, while still not even solving the real problem is not the answer. We're going to come out with close games next season sometimes too, and with the flag issue still arising people are going to be complaining about not getting the thousand or so points they needed to win the game.
