Something like this would be better: If a Squad is in twld/twlj they get a roster of 10 people, if they are in twld AND twlj, raise it to 15, if they are in all 3 raise it to 20.

If a team is in twlb, give them a roster of 15, if they are in the 2! other leagues aswell give them 20.

You can pull off twlb and ld/lj with 15 players IMO.

if 40 people want to be on the same squad together, then it's not any of your places to tell them they can't be. It's not your decision. This isn't some high paying professional league like the NFL this is a game where people like to play with their friends and people they've met online. They can play for and with whoever they want.

Like I said, I will definately be playing this next season, whenever it is. The fact that it is looking to be the weakest in a while will only help my squad (we will have an easier time in each league we are in).

However, using TWLD again, three seasons ago there were 3 competative squads? Two seasons ago there were around 4? Last season 6 or 7? This season. . . Two? Three?

On the Pallies subject. . . Sure they have banzi, blood, vihta. . . They've lost luke, code, swimkid and mattey? For a squad that was kept out of the final last season, this comming one doesn't look too promising.

I think alot of you are missing the point. You are looking at the top squads for THIS season and saying "what are you talking about, there are a bunch of top squads." You need to try to compare those squads to the top squads of LAST TWD. Compare the players of LAST TWD to the players in THIS TWD. There is really only one squad I look forward to playing and trying myself against. Last TWD, it seemed like every game was as such.

This may have to do with the fact that Grapevine had to qualify for TWLD last season, thus giving us more incentive. However, we are currently in the exact same position this season as we were last season. The difference is there really isn't anybody who can push us for it if we give a damn.

Naturaly that will happen since ppl will retire. You always get a few old guyus who retire after each year, or old guys who lose a step to the new guys. Its just bound to happen.

Pallies did lose some guys, Koan probably being the most notable one who was valuable in TWLB. Although there losses arent there biggest problem, inactivness is.

The reason WHY squads arent competitive is because it is spread too thinly. If squads dont have enuf active players to show up to play they lose interest. If you decrease RB's players fom...I think it close to but under 40....I can guarantee you half the twbd games that are being played will not be played anymore.

U guys are complaining about the lack of competative squads in each league. You have what 3-4 guys hwo have a chance at the title if that then the rest are just there. A way to make more squads who are decent/good are to lower the roster limit so that squads like spastic cant have 30 of the top basers in TW. So Sk8 cant have 40 of the top javs/wbz in tw. I mean 40 ppl? Thats 2 squads in 1. I personly dont care if u h ave a roster limit or not, but dont complain when we dont have more then a few top squads. This is a huge part of it.

About the +5 for the more leagues ur in. I dont like that either. Just instead of having a 35 roster limit (which isnt even enforced at all) make it 30. Then make it so that TWD has a limit of 30 as well. I dont see the need for any squad to have 40 ppl on it, especialy in sk8's case who have abotu 10-15 guys online almost all day long.

we need every player we recruited. Squads balance themselves out, there's no need to worry about it. if someone doesn't get to play enough, but they would be playing on a different squad, they move on.

If spastic actually had 40 of the best basers, 30 of those guys would get real unhappy when they know they're good but never get to play, and they'd move on.

Let the captains manage their own squads.

don't deny it. some people join a squad just to win a league. they'd rather sit and watch others win than play and lose.


the problem with making all these hypothetical squads is that you don't have to people to captain them.

say each squad has 2 legit captains (as my squad does). . .

last twl there were about 25 (give or take) different squads in all 3 leagues combined.

you there need 50 guys who can captain a twl quality squad. . .

name 50 people in trench wars who can do this.

then take away the guys who CAN do this, but won't captain. or the guys who can do it and are captains, but don't have the guys to get them into twl (nemiseph on warpath comes to mind).



i know that alot of people will disagree with me, and this has very little to do with the original intent i had in this thread, but i really think we could do without these 1 league squads.

i'm sure that guys on a basing squad are good at wbs/javs. and i'm sure that guys on a jav squad are good at basing. . . just as an example, a bunch of good basers were left out of last twlb because they were on grapevine. i'm not complaining about this, but i'm sure the league would have been better off.

to anybody who thinks this wouldn't work: say grapevine only gets into twld. we wouldn't be accepted. we could play twdd til our balls turned purple, or we could do what we would probably do. fold and all split and join squads that are in twl.

the talent is therefor going to become more concentrated in the 20 or so squads that we'd have in twl, and more guys would be playing across leagues.

this would also increase squad longevity i think. the only 2+ league squad to fold out last season was shriek (i think??). and that was the fault of one single person.


i don't see this happening, ever. but i think it would be beneficial.

I honestly don't see the big deal with this roster limit debate. Yes, I think sqads with over 30-members is rather rediculouse but honestly, who is it hurting besides them? Most these squads are filled largly with players not fit to play in TWL any way. How can this be is this hurting the competivness of TWL? Id rather see a few good squads with large rosters then a bunch of crappy squads with small rosters playing in TWL.
