Underground, all i'm saying is if someone isn't responsible for being kicked out of twl... like last year vigilanty joined us when shriek dissolved but he wasn't allowed to play and nethervoid/download couldn't play either for their teams and none of them did anything wrong really. It's not their fault they were kicked out of twl. this allows some people a chance to get back in instead of waiting a full year for another shot.

Agreed, sure it was there fault for being axed i suppose (i dont konw the story) but either way they shouldnt be out of TWL bc of someone else. If they would of left on ther own, then sure, but if its someone else doin it then no way.

Und: u gotta remember last season the "soft" lock wasnt even put into use. As pushher said it wasnt enforced at all. There were so many ways for another person to join another squad. I mean use a diff computer, change ur ip/id and all that shit (if u know how). its basicaly the same way that ppl Evade banns. its doable and its done. I think that this system (soft/hard lock) cou ld be successful as well, but it has to be done rite, none of this 1/2 ass shit.

Vigilanty just picked up the wrong squad in the beginning of the season.. He couldnt play TWL anymore for some decision he made himself.
What I mean is that all that ppl that were "out of TWL" before it was over, were kinda responsible for it!

Sure its somewhat there fault, but i think that sometimes u got real hardheaded leaders liek annul was last season who would axe just for fun sometimes. I dont think a person should be punished for being axed, only for leaving a squad on there own. On the shriek thing, who knew merce was doin it? Everyone i talked to didnt even know it was merce. They mite be lying, who knows, fact is the other players besides the captains should of been allowed on other squads. Plus, what is the chances of that happening again this season? I also think that if a squad dies midseason there players should be allowed to join other squads. I mean we yell about ppl being "loyal/not loyal" then when a squad dies u punish the loyal ones. Gotta look @ taht stuff too.

yep, i'm in the no-roster-limit group.
i know my squad, as well as several others, like to keep inactive members on our roster so that when they do pop up from time to time, they can join in and play or even be eligable for twl (if it was the time for it... last season we had one or 2 guys show up right at the last minute).
those people shouldn't be "taking up spots" that we could give to more active (also more hoppers... because the active twd players always hop squads to the most active twd squad this week) players.

1st, i wasn't criticizing you, i was merely giving my opinion and saying that twl is better without a limit like the one that you're suggesting. 30-35 is enough.

2nd, honestly, you obviously don't know as much about us as you think, no offense. we didn't have lots of people leave because they didn't get a place and we didn't have a fixed lineup for TWLJ. actually, we had several people play for us last season in TWLJ: hercules, rogue, cuji, kim, crazy canockout, exquisite, dan, nasir, singer, dark!, jargha, sky.... even people like myself, lews therin, ghetto (aka Jalapeno), dan, and a few other people who were with us got in LJ's. but yes, BeatBox and Chance did want more games so they left, those were the only 2.

we both know i wouldnt talk to you in any other circumstance than to publically disagree with you. and if you knew me at all, you would know that i am against any and all social groups (including gays) publically shoving their pride of their social grouping in anyone elses face

You get yourself axed, the actions you make are your own fault, you pick your own squad, thus you gotta think b4 picking a squad if it will last( that's one of the reasons i didn't go back to shriek) and you gotta think of wether your attitude fits in the squads attitude.

On the decypha matter i have to say: It is clearly stupid that when someone gets kicked off roster accidently/for some vague reason, and he get back within the day or maybe 2 days, that it should be possible for him to be eligible to play cus he didn't actually do something wrong or anything. And i don't think it is that hard to take care of that, cus it doesn't happen that often.

Just a note about letting people who were 'axed' join squads but not people who 'left on their own' to join squads. Here's two problem situations and why that rule would never work:

1) Person wasn't axed, so they ask TWL to make exception for them. TWL Op asks captain to make sure (or captain approaches TWL Op). Captain hates the person and wants to screw them over, so the captain tells the TWL Op that they were really axed. TWL Op has no idea who's right, a battle ensues in private messages and forum messages proclaiming so and so is a liar, so and so is a bad captain and so and so is a corrupt TWL Op. What happens next?

2) Person was axed, but they pretend to TWL Op that they left on their own. TWL Op asks captain to make sure (or captain approaches TWL Op), and the captain tells the TWL Op the truth, that the person really was axed. TWL Op has no idea who's right, a battle ensues in private messages and forum messages proclaiming so and so is a liar, so and so is a bad captain and so and so is a corrupt TWL Op. What happens next?

Awesome, while your idea sounds good, I think it would completely defeat the purpose of the roster lock. The point of the roster lock is so squads can't stack themselves in the final rounds with players from other squads who know that they won't win (thus hurting the weaker squads a lot by losing their best players, and ruining the season because suddenly a good squad gets a lot better in the final round). If you have your rule, even with say only 5 players allowed to join during the season, some conservative recruiting squads (i.e. I don't think Syndicate recruited anyone last season once it started as an example) can take advantage and stack at the very end. I think that will end up doing more harm than good.

I still think that after the invitations are sent out to squads for TWL the roster should be locked the first week, maybe even before twl starts.

schope, if you're talking about this idea and why i'm not sticking firm to one idea is because the idea was to improve TWL and make it more stable.

and epi, just so were clear, at the moment (after listening to other ideas as well), i personally would like to see something like 5-10 roster additions over the first 7 weeks in TWL and than a hard lock after week 7's games are played.
