Tiebreaker

Brookus - playing extra games in playoffs suck. If you're in all three playoffs, and you have a tiebreaker game in there somewhere for 4 games it's an extremely horrible thing to go through. An extra round of play is also out of the question thanks to people bitching (although it would work if people didn't bitch), so I think you'd need to use either the current system or the proposed change.

We had an extra round last season due to replays and I didn't hear too much bitching. How does playing an extra playoff game suck? Simply because it's one more game? I thought we play in TWL to play those big-time games. Playing in that one extra game would seem like a great opportunity for the team that would get screwed because of a regular season game.

+/- is the absolute worst way to judge. Who cares how much you win or lose by? A win is a win and a loss is a loss. Period. It treats teams with high +/- as the "best" teams.

Seasons are not about the best team. It's about who can pull off the wins when they count. How many football games come down to a last second fieldgoal and how many basketball games come down to a last second shot? Is the winning team the "better" team? Not always, but they were the team that could actually get the win. That's the only thing that matters. If the best team always won, you'd never have cases where Team A beats B, who beats C, who beats A.

Pjotter - your system ensures that absolutely no one knows the final rankings until the very last game is played. That's a bad idea IMO because it makes the league too complex for everyone to have a good idea of the standings.

You should only use my system when 2 or more squads are tied in wins/losses dummy, although you still have the possibility of them tieing even when my system is used. But you can tie head to head, and you can tie +-.

Pure Luck can do a coin toss between tied teams, the squad that's first letter of their name comes first alphabetically calls it in the air. Sounds fair to me.

the bottom fucking line is you cannot fucking have +/- as the decider when teams don't have the exact same schedule. How fucking stupid can u be epinephrine. The only fucking flaw with head to head is that sometimes people might not show ther best line which results in a loss. thats fucking tough luck, a good squad has depth and people that can fill rolls when the best dont show. Head to Head is also good because it makes every game count. Thereres no way +/- can be used.

If he read it or not he's rite by saying +/- shouldnt be used and i think he makes a fairly good arguement why. If everybody has the same schedule then sure +/- is fine, but u cant use it if 1 team plays Venom on cross-conference and the next plays melee. U see where that would make the +/- uneven? Not to mention u have constant seasons were more then 1 squad droped out of a league. That results in a good +/- for 1 squad where the next squad mite have to face a good replacement squad. There are to many factors for +/- to work.

Head to head should always be used over +/- in a tiebreaking situation (if they played each other of course) or do what brookus is saying to do.

I prefer +/- anyday if both teams have exactly the same matches.. But using +/- during cross conference style sucks. So let's play head to head style if there's cross conference, k thx..
