When it comes to TWL-B and other competetive basing leagues the strategy is really basic for most due to the league gaining its popularity recently. I noticed TW has been trying to bring more ships into the commonly used ones with the modication to the lanc and weasle.
It was brought to my attention by Peace_Maker of the squad Teks, The Jav and the warbird are two powerful ships that when it comes to basing and could make or break the game if the player is good enough. That also goes for the other ships commonly used, but I agree with Peace_Maker that the warbird has to strong of a advantage and is a little to powerful.
The only ways i see of fixing this problem is either allow level 1 & 2 bullets to take damage to the ?status of the ships. That way with damage warbirds, wont have as fast recharge, thrusters, and speed. If this cant be modified for just one ship or if the community feels like it would hurt the other ships to much if implemented to all.
My other idea is just to lower the speeds without damage of the warbirds thrusters or recharge rate. A warbird can already thrust around the whole base taking one or two spider or lanc bullets without having a problem having enough energy to shoot by the time it gets to the terr. In return for warbird settings modified, taking away shrapnel of jav and shark bombs and mines. Competetive basing is about skill and coordination as a team, it shouldnt have settings such as shrapnel due to the randomness of it. If they removed dud bullets/recharge greens in TWDD and TWLD I think shrapnel should also be removed from TWL-B and TWDB in return for the warbird settings.
I think this would take away the randomness of the league and would not affect the strategies or common game play among the TWL-B squads if it were to be implemented before the start of the season.
