while there have been bot problems, alot of us have seen nothing of the sort.

i've played 4 games and haven't seen a problem, and while there would be again, so what? it's pre-season.

the benefit of 24 matches outweighs a few bot crashes in the minority of them. it doesnt affect the development of the new bots or regular season.

if there is no twl this week, that's fine, but TW has spoken overwhemingly in favor of using old bots and playing than having a gap.

I totally agree with the delay. It would be too stupid to play with retarded bots, it would be same as if you are listening music with your walkman and suddenly your batteries are empty.. Plus scheduling games for weekend would be too frustrating if your bot crashes 4 times per game. Just when you get new bots done.. test em and if they are fine.. start twl 8 without no more preseasons.

Thats the problem. The bots were suppose to be ready LAST weekend, so one can only imagine they'd be ready for THIS weekend. Of course they arent tho.

A week delay is fine with me now that we know whats happening. That is what the problem was. Pre-season is basicaly like a TWD game anyway.

If possible, try to just update twl news on the web site every other day or so. Even if it's just "2/6/05 - Found old M&Ms under couch. Ate them. Got sick".

I think most people don't mind the delays. It's the slow communication that annoys us.

naw, then just use a matchbot and then update the statistics manually. with all the stats showing up on the twd site it wouldnt take too long to update (maybe an hour or so).

hell, i'll update it over not playing (if they'd let me).

i mean really, you just get a mod to take care of the extra sub and bam! no 3 month delay.

I mean take your time, but you could test em without us to schedule some more pre-season games.. Like take like wednesday and test withh squads which has enough on.. because if new bots sucks 2 weeks in a row.. it would piss people off..

It's a known fact programmers have to have their deadlines a few weeks before it actually has to be ready. Then they'll get the project done a few weeks before it has to be used, and they can use the 2 weeks to debug it, or if it's already perfect you can start the season a week earlier. Sometimes lying to programmers about deadlines can be a good thing. (Get the bots done for christmas?)
