TWL Season: Starting next week!

After 3 weeks of preseason, TWL operators agree to let the real season get started! Starting next week, TWL Week 1 will get under way.

TWL Preseason week 3

After the TWLJ line fix, the real stress test started at the 15:00 EST matches. Like somewhat predicted in the "Saturday Update" forum thread, the lag limits were especially too strict on the spike. Besides that, there were no serious other problems. The spike limit will be raised (what we did already with a quick fix for TWLB games), and everything should be work within normal paremeters.

Scheduling

Pure assured me that by tuesday the conferences and the full weeks roster will be announced! Be sure to watch the TWL website for those things.

Bad idea in my opinion, Rodge. I still see some flaws, that are pretty bad. Before you start the regular season, you should be pretty certain that the flaws/bugs have been taken care of. I was watching the Rusher and Pirates TWL-D, and there were flaws galore. I mean people kept using their deaths because the bot specced them for lag, where some people claimed they did not lag close to warrant any spec's. Then whats even more comical is, how postzegel, player for Pirates, gets a clutch kill in a close game, only to have the bot read it as a kill for Rusher, calling the game over. So now we're going to play regular season when these things still exsist? Kind of silly. But if you're in a hurry, then go ahead I guess.

However as I had mentioned to you earlier, I agree that perhaps another week of preseason is needed to make sure all those weird spike limits and other flukes are out of the way.

The death from getting spec'd is from the too strict spike limit, which I assume they are going to increase in all the leagues and not just twlb. So really that's the only thing that was a problem this week.

That and the fact that the twl website didn't update automatically. And are you guys aware it's currently showing the results from preseason week1, and not preseason week3? But that's not really critical.

Oh okay. Well yeah, I think its silly to play regular season without being sure that these bots can hold it's own. Right now, I just don't think they can. Pre-season 4 should be next week, and if they hold up, bring on the regular season. But you don't want to go into the regular season with flaws/bugs happening the prior week.

To me it seems like the general consensus is that ppl want TWL to start regardless of the situation of buggy bots. I wouldn't mind playing another preseason game to test for bugs, but from what I can gather ... the majority DO want to start TWL even with these problems.

Not me, I agree with Death Row that we should have another week of pre-season to make sure the bots and everything are good to go.
