Well its obvious why they left
1. Spikey + Kawrae couldn't show how good they really were on a squad like basingcrew
2. BC has no chance at leagues
3. Dice wins twlb and they get their names in twlb arenaDICE TWLJ/TWLB SEASON 8 CHAMP

Well,Its a big loss for BC.

Megaman, I think Spikey and Kawrae could have done more for BasingCrew then they can do for Dice.
Nimrook,
Players leaving a squad is indeed what we see everyday in here, this shouldn't make it normal nor acceptable.
I've seen many zones, its not like this at others. And I dont think pointing out some squadhoppers is a bad thing to do. since they have been very egoistic about their choice, they did not say a word about it with anyone before they left and I still dont know why excactly they left. Ofcourse we'd still stay alive, I get about 5 PM's a day of players wanting to join, but yeah If I recruited those my squad wouldn't stand very long and strong. What I'm looking for is the right players to recruit, which is very hard at the moment.Only the loyal count.

It's not like it kills our squad, but it ofcourse does damage the squad like it did damage pallies when all those players left. When having all players play one ship for the squad, the squad is always playing at its best and most competitive which is a good thing for the teamplay within a squad.
I keep it as small as possible so the players can get used to eachother while playing and while being online. I didn't like the other squads in TW where there were tons of members you dont even know on the squad chat, a squad is based on it's community, by having everyone know eachother the players will get more loyal to the squad.
I felt betrayed by them for leaving and then not even having a good reason for it. Then noticed many players in game we're talking about it so I thougt it might be a good thing If I posted in here what excactly happened and how it affected BasingCrew.
The same day I posted this on the forums Apt contacted me that he has too many players on Juice and can't give them playing time on Juice and thus wanted to talk to them about joining BasingCrew.
I haven't heard any word from Apt anymore about this, but Royst was saying he did say something about in the juice chat and Royst was already thinking of joining us and since Apt wouldn't mind it he decided to join us. We also recruited Dwopple for BasingCrew as shark, he has been playing shark in ?go base allot lately and got good, not sure yet how good but he wanted to join badly so I decided to give him a trial period to check him out.
Those are both sharks, Suede has been moved from a shark to spider position since thats always what he wanted but we didnt have any sharks and he is also a very good shark. JeBu been moved from jav position to terrier position. We will be recruiting 2 more spiders hopefully Apt will help us out on this.
We're not totally fucked, just damaged. It wasn't like I was desperate about it so I got to the forums and whine about it. I thougt it might help and people seemed to be interested, it worked out fine.Only the loyal count.

Having backups is still the best thing to do, especially now that you're lossing some people and having to replace them on short notice. Before the player lock, what's to stop more from jumping ship? We all know it happens every year so why not be prepared for it, now more then ever with a player base unsure of their loyalties. While lossing these two players did damage your squad and has not killed it, the possiability of this happening during the regular season could. It is possiable to have that small community feel without sitting on the edge of being kicked out of TWL but it isn't easy. You have to seperate between backups and starters to start (this includes advising and focusing your people of their place/task) and within that you need to train up, even out disputes and mix up your lines according to the opposition to appease backups and advance the face/reputation of your squad through social means to bring on more talent.Last edited by Kolar; 02-19-2005, 07:23 PM.
