Lemar was recruited 2 weeks ago, we knew dixy have to go to vacation but then bots didnt work. and week 5 got played again kinda stupid, wasn't our fault

we had 3 guys in spec that were all ineligible and have been back on the roster since before the first time week 5 was started...

unless your name is 2Dragons u actually have to wait your Game cool down time...to play for a new squad.. its not about how long it took, its about when the game gets played

sounds like the BC caps knew exactly what they were doing....

other infractions of this nature have resulted in squads being banned from leagues for the season....

i personally dont care who wins or loses... but you are setting a precedent if a forfeit isnt part of the penalty here....

BC cheated by the rules...doesnt matter if there was a week postponement or not.... other squads still had to deal with the same issues and they did...


bottom line is that there was knowledge by BC that they were playing an ineligible player and they still went ahead and did it...

the issue was brought forth before the game started apparently, and yet the host seemingly let the match proceed without verfiication...

the ban seems reasonable but the result of the game standing really makes it look like the rules are being treated like a joke... and most players posting in here seem to agree.....

Going to recruit ineligible players and play them in key matches; so long as we win who cares if they 'become ineligible for the following 2 weeks of TWL' or not





But then again...it would've been illegal for them to play in the first place so if they become illegal for TWL play for the next two rounds due to having played in a game illegally, then maybe I'll just keep playing them illegally even after they become more illegal for being played illegaly in the first place and I guess that'll just stack to the amount of weeks they will be considered illegal if played; but for all I care they can be illegal to play for the following 2 years so long as I keep playing them and staff just keeps reiterating that it was illegal and keep letting the games count

And I'm not glad with the outcome of this either, I think there should be no punishment at all.

You are the captain of a TWL squad, and therefore you are expected to read and know the rules. It says in plain english that there is a 1 week waiting period for new recruits, and IF the games are delayed, the person still can't play. The reason for the rule is so that you can't recruit people right away for a game that you have to play the next day.

I agree that Lemar should be punished, but SO SHOULD BASINGCREW. Their captains played a non-eligable player. There really is no excuse at all. Ignorance isn't an excuse. This clearly had a huge impact on the game and in my opinion, BasingCrew should have forfeitted the match. They broke one of the MAIN rules of TWL.

The referee should take some blame, also;

8.08 "The game referee and the TWLBots will verify game time roster eligibility."

The game referee did NOT verify the roster eligiblity. Had they done their job, this whole mess wouldn't have even happened. If what Leroy says is true, it's unbelievable that all the ref did when asked about Lemar's eligibility was respond saying to ask someone else.

Pure is my friend, but I have to say that I don't agree with his decision at all.

Which brings us back to what someone said in another thread after the last round: A lot of the TWL refs are too new or unexperienced to be a ref when one is needed. Ok so in 90% of the games they don't have to do pretty much anything, but that does not mean the referees are there to be silent spectators.

well what BC did can bring back to what happened to Shriek last season..

merce was banned/ineligible last season and he somehow played in one of the games.. that resulted Shriek getting dq for the season... staff didnt care if the caps knew about this or not.. and we got dq cause the rule said so

same thing happeneing to BC.. they played a player that was ineligible to play.. the cap KNEW about this and yet they played him.. i think they deserve the same punishment.. i think staff should follow the rules and do neccessary punishments

Well, the Shriek thing from last year really is not comparable. Merce was a Shriek captain who evaded a TW ban to play in TWL on a different name. It's a lot more serious if a captain breaks the rules.

Incuria all your wanting is free points, though you should give lemar a perm ban for it to make sure things like this don't happen again... seriously i don't think they give 2 cents about the 2 week ban, cus it's actually just one week since you were illegible the week you played...

If you are not sure wether a player is illegible, GO ASK THE TWL-OPS.....
Then they are the ones to blame if they agreed on you being legible to play...

I did ask P_L before that game if DSin who lost his password due to formatting his PC could use the nickname of my brother Fused but he wasn't allowed to. And thus we did not do this.

I really didn't know Lemar wasn't allowed to play since he been with us for over 2 weeks, and would have been able to play. (it seemed fair to me) Now I hear it's not, which I think is really stupid.

What should BasingCrew have done to make sure Dixy would have been replacement for the match in week 6 he wouldn't be able to be? How could we know we were supposed to recruit a shark in week 3 because week 5 would be postponed, and that he aint allowed to play in this second week then.

I think you should all quit staring at those damned rules, and have a fair look at it instead.

EDIT: Oh, and we do care about the 2 week ban because Dixy will also not be able to play next weeks game, And still do think there should be no punishment at all.

EDIT2: 1.07 Any excessive abuse of the League Conduct Rules during a match will result in a two-week suspension from league play. Repeat game conduct offenses may result in a ban from Trench Wars League for as long as the League Operators feel is sufficient.


I dont think there have been any excessive abuse by lemar nor BasingCrew since we didn't know he was ineligible and should have been eligible.
