    Another Random TWL Idea

    I think that DSB League had this at some time (or maybe still does this) ... but can't we create a "TWL zone" that is dedicated for TWL only? Wouldn't this decrease lag? Yes, it may be more work to set up, but isn't it fairly simple to set up another zone nowadays? Also I understand that having them disjointed like this makes for strange communication, and having to log out in order to go btwn zones. But, think about it, this is only for TWL, not TWD or pub, so really it's only for Sat and Sun.

    If any DSBers can comment about this go ahead.

    PS. Wouldn't this make it easier to tweak maps etc since TWL would have its own zone? Bots would prob lag out less as well.

    There wouldn't be a difference in lag, since the TWL zone would most likely be on the same server as TW. It would be a pretty big hassle to get another zone/server to host the zone for us and get the botcore running on it correctly.

    Also, like you said, it would create a communication problem, especially with the way staff chats work. You have to be in the TW zone to access the staff chats.

          im from dsb, it works great reduces lag and stuff, but it doesn't promote your own zone as much, that is why dsb has gone back to having its leagues games in our regular zone, and got ride of DSB LEAGUE zone.

              If staff was crazy enough to set up another server for TWL, I don't think they'd be stupid enough to set it up on the same machine.

                        Shut the fuck up. Eelam has had experience and stab is talking in general theory. If another server hosted it, then bam; lag goes down dramatically.
