I'm sure you'll find that it isn't so easy to 2v5 a squad anymore.. things changed, people got better and quite a few will be better than u I'm sure of that. You are still thinknig in terms of last season, which of course had 7-8 squads which could be beat w/o much effort.

And btw, I'm sure people wouldn't wna hop... unless of course they call it quits. After all..there's a reason for the roster lock!

I guess I should predict. This is, like Randedl's prediction, from experience. When I say you suck it's not because you don't do well, it's because I think you're easy to kill.

1. Shinobi - Might switch with rand if he decides he'd rather go #1 than #2, but I've never done less than #2 in 5 seasons, so I can only predict a repeat of history on this one.

Kickass line: Foreign and a combination of Royce, Dynasty (if he learns to team), Royce, Attacks, Flare, KillerGT, Unrealistic... LaG KilleR <-sucks

2. Grapevine - You may suck but you'll make it at least this far Randedl. There's no other real talent out there besides -F- and Syndicate, and you'll beat them for reasons that will be explained.

Semi-kickass line: the 3 mighty M's, randedl, and 1 other guy (maybe scoop? fun to say anyway.. SCOOOP!)

3. -Final- - It just wouldn't be a TWL without -F- in the quarterfinals. Sika is better than demonfaze and escalate combined with 1 hand while taking a dump, and my prediction is raspi returns. Combine that with their random newbie (but promising) warbirds and the fact that they simply don't care and you get a #3 spot in my rankings.

Line: Sika, Raspi, not poozzman, Swimkid (if he doesn't get bored of -F-'s inactivity, since I heard that was his reason for leaving GV.. LOL), pretty much anyone else as this is an overall deep squad.

4. Syndicate - These guys aren't that great. They had a good season. Big deal. Most of the players that are their "headliners" aren't really all that amazing imo, and the fact that they think because they've won 1 season together makes them the favorite in this league is humorous really. In the words of Randedl, I'm sorry you suck. Quicksand will beat you in regular season.

Line: demonfaze, escalate, fireballz, colonel, amputate. You won't have raspi. If you do, he won't be around to play.

5. Sk8 - Ease is good. The rest are eh, ok, but they have a lot of older depth that might come in handy. These guys will have a solid season and make the playoffs, maybe trade these guys for Syndicate, whichever you prefer, but I don't think they have a winning lineup.

Line: Ease and 4 other vets.

6. Disoblige - I put these guys behind Sk8 because I looked at their roster and that lagger Noodler wasn't there anymore. Maybe he's aliased, but I don't have time to keep up with newbies and their aliases, so Disoblige will be #6 as a result. Not really a dishonorable position. You guys have pretty good aim but most of you can't dodge well. In a longer game (and it will be because everyone plays safer in twl) I think this will become a burden to you. You won't lose to easy squads (you'll beat everybody below you in this ranking during reg season), and you might even pull a few upsets above you, but you'll end up here.

Best Line IMO: Phrenitis, Last Standing, Deprecate, plob#f, 1 other

7. Dice - This is only because I don't like the idea of a jav squad coming close to winning a twld. You might do better than this, but as an elitist prick this is as much as I can do for you

Line: Paska, Azreal, Delectable, 2 others

8. Pirates - Better than United Force and Quicksand, these guys get the same treatment as Dice.

Line: Vig, 4 others


The other 8 will not make it due to: inexperience, inactivity, shittiness, or all of the above.

fair enough, my congratulations go out to wp and sorry to squad!! for underrating them, best of luck . If only speed hadnt taken some stupid games in the last 24 hours of locking we would be in...they managed to lose 200 points.

Actually, im thinking in terms of the last several seasons... in the last 4 seasons, there has rarely, if ever, been a surprise semi-finalist in LD, much less a finalist or champion.

Don't worry, I'm coming back. It takes me all of 3 days to warm up for the regular season, which is basically just a chance for the majority of the TW population to get their asses kicked repeatedly by the top 4 or 5 squads who have collected pretty much every good player.

The real league starts in the quarterfinals, or maybe even the semis. By that time every squad in TWL will be different, so theres no use even making predictions at this point. People you thought would never come back will be back, people will have squad hopped multiple times, and a new person or two who doesnt suck will emerge.

As for us being 7th...cmon dude...demonfaze and I could 2v5 this league and finish higher than 7th.

i laugh at foreign and randedl's prediction but then again its not our fault that grapevine choked a 13 kill lead in the 3rd round, rookies couldnt handle the pressure.
