Yea, my memory sucks. . . shriek and rampage or whatever, I dunno. But I actually remember reading top 5 predictions that year and not seeing us anywhere in them. I was just making conversation.



The Melee that I led was far different from the Melee with Plague Rabbit leading.

Don't you think we should have some sort of SS history book of each season with the most important squads, people in it and how TWL went ? (how the squad was formed etc)

As I sit here on the last day of my weekend, preparing to sleep and start afresh, I find myself inspired to put forth my best opinion, because the ones that I have read above are. . . well. . . they suck.

Long gone are the days of people saying which squad will be the best and who will suck - replaced with non-commital "this is what I think their top line will be, but I don't want to say that they will suck or anything" type statements.

So anywho. . . Sixteen TWLD teams, let's give her a go. Keep in mind that I'm like never online when other squads are actually playing, so I'm just guessing and remembering how people have played against me.

So without further ado, IN A VERY PARTICULAR ORDER, here are my TWLD predictions:

1. Grapevine: I don't care if my roster is full of bottom tier players, or the crazy good, lag-laden guys that we actually have. I'm going to put my team at the top just because I have faith in the guys I've recruited.
Top Line: You'll have to wait and see.

2. -Final-: These guys are pretty talented with more than enough depth on the bench. They'll probably go 10-0 in the regular season, and beat my squad in the finals just because I enjoy finishing second (see season 6 & 7). That said, these guys are dorks. They grabbed a couple guys from my squad. . . The kind of guys who whine about their entire roster not being filled with #1 ranked elim guys and people who have played the game for under 5 years. Ya'll have fun together. (Cumulonimbus, death row and Ardour exempt)
Top Line: Death Row, Ardour, Sika, Domi, Scorch or Poozzman if he's still on that squad somewhere. . .

3. Dice: You heard it here first. Grapevine will lose to Dice in the regular season. But due to awesome scheduling and clutch performances by myself in 2 playoff rounds, we will go to the final instead of them. These guys are really underrated in LD, probably due to their audacity regarding LJ and LB. They have good players who are active and smart and, it seems, they are learning to play together. To Dice: Don't worry about being eliminated by us, you'll still kick our ass in javs and base.
Top Line: Paska, Pascone, Delectable, Fission, Azreal

4. Sk8: Active, talented, and motivated to win something, Sk8 will be a force in 5vs5 warbirds this season. I'm hardly ever on when they have their supposed "starters" around, I am guessing they are European. That said, Ease is better than I've ever seen him and they have a slew of random people who have just gotten really good as of late. Unfortunately, the better they get, the more this squad seems to talk unwarranted shit.
Top Line: Ease, Vitja, Creature, baserman. . . whatever the fuck your name is, +1 of those aliased guys. Sorry, I don't keep up with the hip name changes. Or maybe Broly?

5. Disoblige: They lack the overall depth to really be as big a threat as the above mentioned, but Diso will have enough talent to keep them up here. I haven't seen them play at all lately, but I noticed they just got that plob#f guy, which will probably help alot. Not much else to say due to lack of a clue.
Top line: Deprecate, Plob#f, Da1andonly, Iron Survivor, Phrenitis

6. United Force: Go team go! I hope they win it all, just so Tys will come back to Grapevine next season. This squad will do well simply because they don't make any of the horrid mistakes that most squads are prone to. Patience as well as killer aim on the radar will help them to a good record and a playoff appearance. Their biggest weakness is that they all die at brutally different rates, leaving them outnumbered at the end.
Top line: Tys, Aerin, Bharat, Milos, Vinter (I don't know who this is but I see him play alot.)

7. Syndicate: Hardly ever see any of these guys around anymore, I almost forgot about them. You would have been placed higher if. . . well. . . if you were better. Overrated this season due to a lack of 5 warbird starters. I hear Fireballz may not play TWL? Their season will fall apart before it begins if that is the case. Raspi and Escalate are last seen 12 days ago combined as well. . . On the plus side, at least you guys haven't lost the ability to talk out of your asses that has endeared you to the Trench Wars populace.
Top line: Demonfaze, Colonel, Raspi, Escalate, Fireballz (if they all come back) If not: Amputate, Stripes, Necromotic, in that order.

8. Quicksand: These guys are immature little children. Unfortunately, little children are normally better at video games than mature adults (or whatever is in between the two stages). Izor is good, they lag alot, and they play a style that baffles some squads that I have seen. It should be enough to get them into the playoffs.
Top Line: Izor, Exalt, ivf, Racka, Surfer, Deluge (they should always have lag problems, so they will probably end up playing at least 6 every week).

9. Shinobi: I think Dynasty will put himself in repeatedly and then suck enough to make his squad lose. If that isn't the case, Shinobi might lose a little less. They have a solid talent base, but don't seem very organized when playing. I don't know much about the individual players to differentiat between skill, so the top line I'm posting is kind of a random guess.
Top Line: Attacks, Foreign, Killergt, Reis, Catatstrophe

10. Pirates: Gayest TWD homepage of any squad in history. . . Pirates is kinda like the jav equivilant of my squad. Pretty solid in 1 league, kinda not in the other dueling league, and somewhere in between in basing. Vigilanty is hot shit though. . . He will probably win a couple games on his own.
Top Line: Bill C, Lockdown, Vigilanty, Hercules, Devaki. Put in Nimrook for Dev if Dev doesn't play TWL.

11. Heavy: They will not be ready to match up against most of the top squads in TWLD this season. Especially after that little forum thread Kane made, I am more focussed on beating them (even if he isn't still on their squad.) They will win a few games based on teamwork, but they will lose more based on skill.
Top Line: Apok, Annoyance, Slangin Rock, Bike, Jones

12. Ancients: I've not seen this squad play since the last TWL, so I have no clue how good they should be. I am thus low-balling them and only putting them ahead of the squads I am sure are shitty. I don't know any of the players on Ancients and I don't even know what half of their names are supposed to mean. Thus, no line for them.

13. Squad!!: No clue how they aren't shittier, but these guys look like they will compete every week. I think it might be because of that Fuzon guy. . . He can shoot straight and lags well enough.
Top Line: Fuzon, Unabled, Tragik, 2 more. . . Don't know the people on this roster.

14. Boz: I don't know why but I am annoyed by this squad being in TWLD. It may have something to do with them going 3-3 against Grapevine in TWDD matches.
Top Line: Acumo and Connection and 3 others maybe?

15. Speed: They are 15th because they are better than Warpath. Will go 0-10 in the other conference.
Top Line: I don't know. But please, please, please get better aliases. Your roster looks like a butchered ESL text book.

16. Warpath: It's cool you guys made TWLD, but you probably aren't going to do very well. You may have a chance to beat my squad because I will probably pick this week as the week to let Buja X and Crazi play.
Top Line: Nemiseph better get to play, he IS this squad.

It's 1am. I'm tired and I'm realizing I don't know as much about other squads as I have in past seasons. This does look like a competative season with most squads being able to win on "Any Given Sunday" (or Saturday if so inclined). I'm going to try to dedicate the time to be able to show up and play. More than likely this will be my last "sirius." TWL season and I'd like it to be fairly rewarding.

As we can see Eastern Conference is way harder than the Western Conference. I cant believe they are made this way.

The winner of TWL-D will probably be Syndicate or -Final-.
