a lot of people dont realize that rand/myth spent a lot of time together puttin together a decent TWLB squad... quite a few people on GV roster are solid basers... n' they were recruited onto teh squad for the sole purpose of basing... n' im pretty sure GV TWBD'd more than any basing squads out there... maybe exceptions to one or two squads... but the fact is... GV members do not deserve this... they did not spend all that time tryin to qualify for TWLB... n' to c it crumble like ashes... PL used myth's statement as one of his substantiations for banning GV from TWLB... well... im pretty sure that 10% of TWLB games myth cheated in would definitely NOT have factored in with GV's potential to qualify for TWLB... they were what? top 5?

as of shinobi... no offense to them... but im pretty sure GV is a whole lot better than them... a lot of people always make comments that TWLs are getting worse each year... quite a few stating that there is no competition between squads.... so why ruin it any further?

I have a ton of respect and admiration for GV's core guys, but questionable characters like Mega Newbie, scoop (<3) and flibb, who all have either been investigated for cheating in the past, or in flibb's case probably should be now, are still there. Playing devil's advocate for a moment here.. with people like the aforementioned on the roster, I CAN somewhat understand why people would, unfair as it might be, generalize and classify the squad as cheaters. (I, on the other hand, think GV is full of quality apples [or grapes..], but a couple of fuckhead worms just spoil the deal.)

Let's be honest, though.. replacing GV with Shinobi? Those guys couldn't base their way out of a cardboard box. Look, throw Mythril in a fucking cell, flush the key, and let Grapevine, sans (at least one ) cheater, make TWLB at least somewhat interesting. Fuck this "sending a message" bullshit. This message should have been sent months, if not years, ago. Using Mythril as a scapegoat now to try and save face after casting a blind eye to cheating for so long is absolutely asinine, and replacing a competitive squad like GV with, of all squads, Shinobi because of one player's actions is no less ridiculous.

Just my two cents, take it to the bank or drop it in the gutter, your call.

Well after twl is announced does it matter that much? maybe lets take a look at what happened. a win over melee big deal, if myth cheated that then he must of been really desperate cause lets face it, melee sucks at basing.
Losses over twl bound passion, diso, pandora and ancients, i think cheating helps you win.
games that looked like he did cheated was over the SLAM who themselves have javs who are questionable when it comes to lag. and spastic which is coincidential to who past judgement on GV and 1 match with teks.

and to whoever said that GV knew that he was cheating, dont you think he would be captain if everyone had knowledge of this, and we had mods/smods even a twl staffer on the roster??? yeah ok...

I am not biased, I am not in TWL and I am banned for using CE myself. I say GV is lucky they have alot of the TW heavy guys in their squad or they'd been banned from all leagues.

Gran, it's not wether Myth profited from his cheats, he used them in a TW league as a captain of a squad. You guys are just lucky that staff treats all three disciplines as different leagues.

Bullshit. He never said he used it to help make TWLB. In fact he said the opposite. Everyone knows damn well GV would have made it intwo TWLB regardless of Mythril. If using cheats to help make the cut for league is the basis we're all getting punished for not knowing about one person's indiscretions then that is bullshit. If you want to say that punishing the entire squad is due to some other reason, then feel free to give that reason. Don't make some bullshit claim like this one.

Just pointing out a fallacy in your argument. I have no preference on whether GV is kicked or not, but I do think that it is a shame that a competitive squad is being replaced by one that doesn't seem to care that much about basing.

Well we are in their LD conference. But I dont know if we care about them not being thrown out of LD. Losing a player like mythril is going to ruin their LD season depending on how much mega newbie eats, and how long it takes before other people can see his bullets appear. I dont think anyway that they have a squad capable of teaming well, since mega/metal like to stray a lot and the rest seem to like playing a little more aggressively.

On another note, it shouldnt surprise anyone that someone on their squad was cheating..myth had been netbanned previously and last season I think mega newbie was banned for something, so he had to alias on marin or whatever for rusher, unless im completely mistaken on that but i totally didnt pay attention to that league. If thats true then they pretty much had the same number of cheaters as us, and i know for a fact that some people are convinced we have been

This notion probably seems unfair to the basers in GV - but what you've got to remember is that stringent + often quite extreme measures have got to be made to set an example to others. I think good decision (because what Mythril did was completely unacceptable) but I do feel sorry for the other GV players.
