Well to be honest (and this can fuel some people's arguments I'm sure), for the Hot and Nots that I didn't recieve full submissions for - I only recieved full submissions from Ward and that was only for TWLD - I felt I needed to stay on track at least a bit with my HoN writeups (in regards to submissions), so I stuck with who a majority of people were requesting for Hots and Nots.

With that said, I can't honestly tell you that I would have picked you as the Hot for last week... but I can't honestly tell you I would have picked Brookus either.

If it's any conciliation, I'm extremely impressed with not only Diso's performance so far, but your terring. Hell, I wouldn't have thought you'd do this well... and ya know, I'm not too sure many people outside of your squad (and maybe Brookus) thought you'd be doing as well as you're doing after a couple of years. Perhaps that's a reason a lot of people didn't quite pay attention to you that week.

Again, with people submitting things, not everyone is going to be happy, but that's what would happen if one or two people were assigned to do the job by themselves. I like to view this as a way to let people voice their opinions. Yes, I do understand, 'that's what the forum is for,' BUT there isn't much on the forum that is viewed in as high regard by most, as something found on the TWL site.

Regardless, apparently I have no say in whether or not the author's names go on the write ups, because whoever posted the HoNs for week one removed the names I had put on there (which wasn't too much of a deal because it was only Ward and I that had written them). From what I can gather from this thread is that the general concensus wants to know who's writing these. I personally don't mind either way, I'll take the heat for them if I have to, and I wouldn't be suprised if I did anyway for picking the individual submissions... but if people want to know where to vent their anger and who's face to shove their e-peens in, then fine, I'm all for publishing the authors' names, but Nick and I aren't the ones responsible for that.

Yeah ... ppl who actually watch the games should be doing the reporting.

see folks, the point is that you're supposed to submit articles and paulo and mysef will go through them, remove all the broken english or useless ones, and whip it all together. I'm one guy, I can't see every match, not by a long shot. But when nobody submits any articles, you get to hear what me and/or PaulO think, and thats what has happened so far.

I'm glad some of you are so fired up about HoN, but if you don't submit any articles, you don't get any say, and thats the truth.

5-3 1v5 vs Syndicate to a 5-10 doesn't me NOT it means you didn't watch you just picked some scores.

whoever is doing the hot-or-nots keep my squadmates out of it, i like it when most outsiders still think we're too old for this shit or that we'll stop doing good very soon.
also keep listing whoever we beat the crap out as the not squad of the week, it gives the impression we were just lucky to beat them which keeps us in the beloved underdog position a bit longer (till we're 30:0 probably)

(ld should've been elbryan or phrenitis for getting 15 kills in an upset win, lj was a shit week so give it to mega who was the only player who tried 100% vs a very weak opponent, lb give it to someone on ancients they got a good win, rest of the games weren't or shouldn't have been close)

lol this is fucked up... Why in the hell is Duclover named twice as the TWLD hot player of the week?

He was the week 1 hot player in a LOST game? Come on, dont give it to a player on a losing team. Obviously he wasnt hot enough to win the game, so why give it to him when it makes no difference for his team.

And week 2 Duclover went 16-9 in a 50-35 win over BoZ, which in my opinion isnt enough for a Hot nomination. I really dont get it when you had players who actually won the game for their team against a much harder opponent, for example Elbryan (15-6 - Ancients win over Grapevine 50-44) and Phrenitis (15-8 Disoblige win over -Final- 50-43). If you say a 16-9 rec against BoZ is better than those two then fuck off this is useless bullshit. Oh and Syndicate players raped Pirates 50-29, maybe one of them should have been the Hot player instead of Duclover??

Are HoN players judged on team play? Or are they judged on stats? How can anyone write anything they did not acutally watch ALL the games. Answer. They can't. There is NO objectiveness in these things. There are no requirements to get anything posted other than to be 'funny'.

Yea, once I read Izor's HoN article, I realized that QS is making that into a joke now too. If people want to write a Hot article for their own squad when their own squad loses, I think, that is a lot worse than Duc deserving to be on HoN for 2 weeks in a row.

when will people realize that a spid score of lets say 100-75 is better than a score of 100-25. low deaths in spid just means that the person is letting other people take hits for him. it seems like all spids do these days(namely ones that only spid and play no other ships) is go for the lowest deaths possible because they are rewarded for it with MVP's and what not.

We've had 4 article submissions in two weeks, and two were useful. I'm not exactly sure what everybody is retarded over, 1 person bashes this person being in HoN and then the next person says they deserve to be there, and that someone else doesn't deserve it.

It's like voting folks, if you don't vote, you lose your right to complain about the government. I think it's great some people are cheezed, I'm doing something right then, but I expect everybody whos complained in this thread to submit somethign next week or to shut up, and I don't think thats asking much.
