i do think im hot, ive helped to win a lot of good games, including games against syndicate and -f-, two other semifinalists. the only time i lost was against dice, who were undefeated in the season. Also, the game that i lagged in was voided anyways, though i did not cheat, it shouldnt have anything to do with HoN since it was replayed, and we beat them 15-3 (me playing). i dont know what it takes to be a hot shark, cuz as u said its pretty difficult to tell from stats, but its definately not that easy to time well and be smart with like ~250 reps u make per game

Hot, in definition, means that you went above and beyond what you were epextec to do. Pandora was supposed to be a top tier base team, Pandora is a top tier base team. So, you're not hot, otherwise Pandora would be 10-0, wouldn't they?

yeah guys, my sisters birthday and me being sick have pushed it way back. It's saturday night, and I question strongly if I'll get it done tonight, because I think i will fall asleep. I'll try to do it after breakfast tomorrow, and do this weeks on tuesday when I have a day off.

I'm proud of Nickname and everyone that was involved with this season's Hot or Not. I really wish I had had the time that I thought I would have to stick through the whole season with Nick, but it wasn't the case. It didn't seem to matter though, as the Hot or Nots were usually very good. For the guys that did it regularly, I know how frustrating it could be, especially if you couldn't see all the games you'd like and had no idea what your write ups would be like.

Well, i'll compose my complete and total thank you and all that later, the simple fact is that anytime HoN was late, I got a lot of pms in game wanting to know when it would be up, so clearly people do care. Without the help of Pure_Luck, PaulOakenfold, ph and Izor HoN wouldn't have worked this season. I really depending on the Izor and Ph submittions week in and week out, and although those seem to be done now, they got us through the really rough weeks where I didn't see any games do to personal commitments.

PLAYER: Ease

SQUAD: Sk8

LEAGUE: TWLD



It's on Fiya! Ease tore through Dice this past weekend with a total score of 23-14. He was Sk8s big gun as they swept Dice 2-0. Now, I guess it's because Sk8 is out of the LJ playoffs, that ease decided to turn his wb up a notch and he certainly picked the right time. Sk8 will go on to play the also advancing Syndicate in the TWLD finals, and the final result will probably be determined by how well Ease plays. -- Nickname



Honourable Mention: Collusion decided to play it safe this week, managing only 7 deaths in 2 rounds, going 18-7 including a fantastic round of 14-6. Amputate continued to show he's more than just a jav, with 3 solid rounds vs Disoblige going 10-10, 9-7 and 9-5 for a total of 28-23. Not to be shown up, demonfaze was 33-25 with his highlight being 14-10, followed by 10-7 and 9-8. Want to know how to make a comeback? Talk to Colonel or Mega Newbie, who both started terrible (1-6 for col, 5-10 for Mega Newbie) and followed it up with impressive rounds of 12-7 and 11-5 (col) and 12-6 and 13-9 (MN). Overall Colonel was 24-18, all the more impressive considering he was 1-6 in the first round, while Mega Newbie was 30-25. --Nickname

SQUAD: -FINAL-
LEAGUE: TWLJ

Alright, usually I wouldn't put this guy in a hot section ever but this
weekend was a very excellent weekend for Sika. I know some people might not
agree since -f- was only going against BoZ but going 15-8 and then 20-8
making a combined total of 35-16 is just impressive. He is definitely your
HOT player for TWLJ semi-finals. A big congratulation goes out to Sika and
–FINAL- for moving on to the twlj finals! – Colonel

Honourable Mention: Fireballz showed his old form going 11-3, 10-10 and 8-5 vs Dice in TWLJ for a total of 29-18. His only semi poor round, was his 10-10, which was the round synd lost. Of note though is that he was the only synd player not negative that round. Demonfaze was solid again, with his 26-21. Amputate also turned in a good performance with a 29-24. waven was the lone bright spot for dice, as he turned in very solid rounds of 11-10, 10-9 and 8-10 on route to his 29-29. all the more impressive when you note that he was the dice player with the highest kills 2 out of 3 rounds. --Nickname

One Hundred and Fourty-Four to Fifty-Five. I will repeat that because it bares repeating. 144 to mother fucking 55. Sika TORE APART Pandora gaining an unbelievable 21k in points. Next closest on the entire weekend was merce with 17k. to get 144 kills in a LB semi-final match that was 27 minutes, is huge. Sika also had 2 TeKs to go along with his unbelievable kill count. Now, I'm sure someone will say "he was just camping" which really isn't valid. He only died about 20 times less than almost every other spider on both teams, while having about 30 more kills than them. Not a bad weekend for the guy who never talks. --Nickname



Honourable Mention: Cripple went 12-383 in spider with 3 TeKs. He was without question the leader of Syndicate, and may have to be the match for Sika in the finals. Good luck with that. Everett turned in a solid 39-7 to be tied for least deaths by a terr with Kawrae who went 46-7. Vehicle did all he could to keep Pandora in it by going 42-8. Jamal & ph were by far the most offensive shark combo, raking in 41 kills. Also impressive is that after 231 shark deaths, they were only one death apart, with 116 and 115 respectively. Not bad considering that stabwound is the normal big man in the fat ship. Someone needs to teach them how not to get 10 tks though. Eke had a nice 121- 53. --Nickname

PLAYER: Last Standing, Randedl

SQUAD: Disoblige

LEAGUE: TWLD



In what was a back and forth affair, Syndicate beat Disoblige in the semi-finals 2 rounds to 1, to go to the championship for TWLD. Now, losing in the semi finals means you had a pretty good season, and losing to a former LD champion is nothing to be ashamed of but Last Standing and Randedl, two of disobliges big guns, shrunk away and were nowhere to be seen. Last was overall 26-28 with rounds of 14-8 (good), 7-10 (bad), 5-10 (really bad). Randedl was worse, going 11-7, 7-10 and 4-10 for a total of 22-27. All things considered, with the only other Disoblige's playing being Irreplaceable (primarily a jav), Mantra-Slider (primarily a baser), Sleep Weasel (primarily Inactive) and Phrenitis (primarily sexy) diso needed either LS, Rand, or both to step up to carry them to the finals. It didn't happen this year, as not having bram or displaced there hurt diso LD warbird line. --Nickname



Honourable Mention: Dice got fairly easily handled by Sk8 in the semis too. Pascone went an outstanding 12-20. Azreal came in dominate with a 15-10 round, and ended up 18-20. Not so hot. People not to play in the semi-finals, Inactive sleep weasel (0-4) or inactive Cape (5-10). --Nickname

It really looked like Cape just didn't care at all about this TWLJ matchup. Both he and Amputate were suiciding like mad, but there's a good way to do it and a bad way. "7:PureOwnage> Amputate did a flawless re-enactment of kamakazi planes trying to attack a carrier." The good way would be to go 29-24 in 3 rounds like Amp did, the bad way would be to go 22-30 like Cape did. Aside from capes one good round of 12-10, he went 6-10 and 4-10. Well I guess the jokes on us, because Cape had most of us believing he was good in TWLJ. The word 'All-Star' was even tossed around. Shows what we know – Nickname



Honourable Mention: aimbot did not perform up to his usual snuff, going 16-23 total. Why he wasn't subbed before he went 0-6 is beyond me. Megaman89, that guy who talks trash about how awesome he is, put together a 5-10 and a 4-10 en route to his less than awe inspiring 20-28. --Nickname


PLAYER: Pure_Luck
SQUAD: Spastic
LEAGUE: TWLB

Okay let me start off by saying I know I am not a baser and I do not know
much about basing, but the one thing I can say in confidence is that
Pure_Luck lost the game for his squad. The hot player from last weekend is
now the not player from this weekend having died a total of 14 times and
most of those deaths coming in the last five minutes of the game. Spastic
was up 14 minutes to 10 minutes until PL started to panic after having died
to a repped mine and giving up the base to a tired syndicate squad giving
syndicate the win; 15 minutes to 14 minutes. Now folks, don't get me wrong,
it wasn't ALL pure_luck's fault since most of the spiders were hiding behind
him most of the time instead of protecting him but ladies and gentlemen, he
is your NOT player for TWLB semi-finals. –Colonel

Honourable Mention: Jrahen, the spider with the most kills in the regular season managed only 105 while going 105-70 with only 1 TeK. Not a bad game, but certainly not what synd will need from him if they're going to beat –Final- in the LB finals. Disqualifier needs to learn from domi's example on how not to get tks. While domi had 16 kills and 0 tks, thanks to well placed mines, Disq had only 12 kills and 5 tks. Zung is a much better spider than his 99-77 score indicates. But this certainly wasn't his game this week. Someone tell me why koan only had 92 kills? Cumulonimbus who had only one less death, had 16 more kills. -- Nickname
