    Personally, I always thought that the idea of spawning made players try harder to stay alive, thus in a sense eliminating the chance of being spawned. Although you don't see many players in games with 0 deaths, it's the idea I'm after. Spawning is part of the game, otherwise we'd spawn to a safe, like Extreme Games does.

      1. Anti spawn technology as seen in tourny would require all kills within an x amount of seconds from spawning be voided. But, all kills you make off the spawn would still count and not be fair.

      2. The best anti-spawn is yourself. Move ... I do it, and if I get spawned, I shoot them back. But, I rarely let myself get spawned to begin with.

        Wark (kthx) spawned me out on my last life and potentially was the cause for QS to win the LD match, but you don't see me starting a thread over it. Sure it wasn't fair, but it's still part of the game, I accepted the last kill as a regular kill and moved on. Spawning in this game, just like lag are aspects of the game that will stay. It's just part of the game, I mean, Im sure someone could come up with someone that would get rid of spawning, but I don't see it happening anytime within the next decade.

              Spidey sense = radar. If you get sniped 3 screens away bc you didn't look at your radar and assumed you could engage an nme without being teamed/sniped then you're sorely mistaken. Knowing when to engage and judging whether or not you can engage without being teamed/sniped (or as you like to call, strayed) is skill, not luck. It's more of a ambiguous skill though.

                  exactly what i was thinking. point is, with a blue dot on the radar or not on the radar, you cant tell weather or not a bullet is coming for u until it is visible on your screen.

                        a stray is when you don't see an enemy on radar and a shot kills you. thats luck, and not a radarshot. everyone can anticipate a radarshot, so it doesnt have much to do with luck.

                          I think spawning should stay the way it is, but if you want a solution.

                          When a person dies, have them prized with temp super. Then at the time they actually reapear, give them an energy depletion green, have the super time set to about the same time it takes to recharge your ship.

                          That could take a little work to get the timing right, and it won't work too well for those people hitting 250ms considering they can still get a quick shot off before they recieve the prize.

                          Just a thought if you guys did actually implement it. But as I said, leave spawning, it's part of the game.

                          EDIT: One problem that also might arise in this, is rushing up to shoot him or shooting at him when he has super on, that gives the respawn an advantage.

                            What the fuck. Thats a little too much shit to keep track of, probably would overwork the bots or someshit lol.

                            If you seriously wanted to stop spawning I suggest you just take the idea of when someone spawns another person....it doesent count.... just like in tourny.

                            I am personally of the opinion that spawning is part of the game, like dro said, you take the good, you accept the bad cause their was nothing you could really do. Besides their is nothing I like more than to have someone try to spawn me, miss, and I get to fuck him up for it. Thats fun. B)
