I'd like to say TWLB is most important to me since TWLD and TWLJ don't mean anything to me. Don't try to make me believe TWLD / TWLJ is most important, its most important to you perhaps.

First of all it's just my opinion that basing is the best. I like it better for many reasons. First, variety, you can be different ships therefore it's more of a challenge to become good at totally different ships. (takes more skill IMHO) Then there is the team aspect of it. Now you do have to play as a team in ld and lj, however if there is one dominant player they can basically win it mostly by themselves, which i find boring. Then there's the arrogance factor, since one player can dominate I find many times where certain players will do shit like say, 'the rest of you spec, I want to take them on myself'. In basing even though you can have one player do really well, their team can still lose if they don't play together.

That being said, I have enjoyed a wirl around the block from time to time in the grey and yellow ships. They can be quite crafty little devils, but somehow they leave me wanting something more from my meek 2D space ship game.

Yeah, I agree. When the game focused on lining as the defensive stance we saw a much wider variety of ships and lineups. I was a big fan of the double jav and three spider line myself. Lots of BOOMS. How wonderful, yes indeedy. Also, lancs are under utilized in basing. They rawk with the newer settings where there is less damage but offset with a faster rate of fire.


OK peoples, you've gotten off track here. Although I appreciate the bickering about which league is supposedly "the best", we're suppose to demoralizing random squads with conjecture over their fateful demise.

Just because we are not so obsessed to win all matches like some of you in this game we don't win much. I said the reason we are being inconsistent is because we don't care 100% to win all matches and our roster contains a lot of people who know eachother for a long time but can't be active allways. We chose to have such a squad rather than have a squad full with too active people who need to play 5 matches a day in order to stay.

I think you replied lol? because you thought I meant that UF was such a squad, well that was not what I meant.

Sometimes its just funny that people say that Shinobi suck while during the time that those people write their posts I am sitting on the beach drinking beer. And by the time I get home I see how people spent their time talking about Shinobi again. Dudes, there is life outside this game so face the fact that after some years of playing we don't have the same drive as you.

Shinobi doesn't suck they are a solid squad. If they bring their top line they can do very well in TWLD. If you guys truly don't care about the league, maybe you shouldn't be in it? I'm just suggesting that perhaps there are more active squads that are more eager to play in TWL but didn't get that chance. TWL is suppose to be competitive, and I really don't like it when squads act like they don't care. I can name plenty, and most are made up of vets who have already won and have nothing further to fight for. How does that work? If I won TWLD this season you can be damn sure I'd be back next season for another shot at it, with the same squad.

Why do people dissolve squads after they win/lose, and go to new ones? Maybe I have too conservative of an attitude, but I see this league like any sport, teams are teams. Players come and go, but a team should never dissolve. So I consider myself married to UF and you'll be seeing us season after season whether we win or lose.

Quote me where I said we didn't try in TWLD. I said we didn't try to win all matches (in TWD), since we were talking about practises. Some people said that we sucked, but after only two games played in TWL that conclusion is mostly based on our TWD performances before TWL qualification. Ofcourse when we show up for TWL we try our best, otherwise we wouldn't even show up.

Milos replied to my post also with the word 'TWLD' , but I never mentioned TWL-matches. My reply was because Ratty said Shin sucked in LD. But since its early in season his opinion is mostly based on practises before TWL. (read TWD) I was just pointing out when we practise we not allways care to win, thats a matter of concentration and the drive to win. TWD has been here for years now and after "10000 of matches played" it sometimes gets a bit boring.

true, LB is nothing really..it's no measure of skill...aka if one player in a really close basing match is a little understandard the team can carry - in a close twlj or twld match a weak player will cause the match to be lost
