what makes saturday so different from sunday?

Saturday means that the next day is sunday... and if you think it a lil longer you'll realize that sunday is a holiday. That means that finnish ppl are drinking and that leads us to the answer why games are on sunday.

That's a stupid suggestion, do you even know how messed the squads line is gonna be when they are forced to play at a day/time that don't fit at all?

TWLD TWLJ and TWLB shouldn't be played simultaneously. Each should be 3 months of the year with a month break in btwn each. That way TWL is throughout the entire year AND the scheduling problems will be less of a problem. For example:

Jan-March = TWLD
April = rest
May-July = TWLJ
August = rest
Sept-Nov = TWLB
Dec = rest

I'll extend the idea even further. If we have a normal 16 squad TWLD for example with the setup above, each squad can play 2 games per Sunday. Thus each squad can play EVERY SQUAD ... thus one big 16 squad conference and the top 8 make it to playoffs. This makes for a more accurate measurement of who should make playoffs (as opposed to our current 2 conference setup with only a few cross-conference games).

The idea is that when TWL get's rolling, that you could have more than 1 twl in a year, maybe 2, or maybe 1 and a half if it went on through janurary.

None of the "modern" TWLs have been more than once a year. So I think my idea still is valid. In some ways this plan will encourage ppl/squads to be 3 league squads. And the added benefits of scheduling and perhaps having 2 games per Sunday outweighs imo having multiple TWLs a year simultaneously.

Currently TW's setup is more of a TWL once a year deal with TWEL, tourneys, etc to fill in the rest of the year. TW is not all about TWL. By highlighting basing offseason with the Basing World Cup and different tourneys, it fits in well with the TWL-once-a-year setup.

How about every other week a squad gets to decide which day they want the game on, while the other squad decides on the time. Or, just something a little more balanced.

Squadhopper will squadhop no matter what kind of setup. The current rosterlocks both soft and hard can still apply. I see no difference, or at least very little difference in terms of that aspect. I really see no problem in a player playing TWLD with one squad for the whole TWLD season, and then playing TWLB with a diff squad for the whole TWLB season. What's the problem?

the problem is your punishing people for only liking one league.

EDIT: and i'm going to use me as an example. I've played TW since Nov 99, in that entire time I just could never get into TWLD. I love TWLJ, it is without question the most challenging and funnest league to play/watch, and I've been a baser since season 5, But i really don't feel like taking 4 months off, while other people play TWLD. I don't like it, it's boring, I suck at it, take your pick, but why am I being punished for only liking two out of three leagues? Theres a lot of people like that, hell championship squads like Dice were only two league squads, and these people are going to complain like crazy, for four full months, because you won't let them play lj and lb.

Ya i dont like the whole idea of that 3 leagues different time of year thing either. I like how on sundays its full of games for me to watch. Like NN said LD is boring to me too and iw ould hate to log on and only have TWLD being played for a few months strait.

Maybe we could play more saturday games if the time slots were earlier instead of from 1est-5 est u could do 10 am-2 pm or somethin that way its earlier for those hardcore finland party animals. Although im not really a fan of saturday games either, being on a 3 league squad i'd much rather have all 3 of the games i want to show up to atleast on the same day and if possible 3 hrs ina row.

Well id just like to throw in ancients story...

We are a euro squad predominantly fins, we go out, we are not a geek squad. We got forced, by sk8, to play a saturday this week, we had 2 wbs show. What was the point in making us play a game we cant put a line in for? Saturdays for Ancients is the same as a forfit we are going to losse them. We then get a basing time of 4 est. For euros thats 9/10/11 pm. Now thats getting pretty late seeing as the Americans are playing at 1/2/3 pm. We are going to have to put a week line in for this lb today as we cant make this game time. Each week ancients is getting screwed over by other squads and staff on game times. Why cant ancients choose a fucking time for once?
