what can we do to help get more matches to be played on saturdays?

Well id just like to throw in ancients story...

We are a euro squad predominantly fins, we go out, we are not a geek squad. We got forced, by sk8, to play a saturday this week, we had 2 wbs show. What was the point in making us play a game we cant put a line in for? Saturdays for Ancients is the same as a forfit we are going to losse them. We then get a basing time of 4 est. For euros thats 9/10/11 pm. Now thats getting pretty late seeing as the Americans are playing at 1/2/3 pm. We are going to have to put a week line in for this lb today as we cant make this game time. Each week ancients is getting screwed over by other squads and staff on game times. Why cant ancients choose a fucking time for once?

Well i care about my squad, and yeh i am quitting soon seeing as the best summer of my life is coming up and im not going to miss it. But ug it was lame you forced us to play on Saturday it would be like us forcing you to play at 8AM so we could have a 1Pm game our time. Even though your a euro your squad is not.

TWLD TWLJ and TWLB shouldn't be played simultaneously. Each should be 3 months of the year with a month break in btwn each. That way TWL is throughout the entire year AND the scheduling problems will be less of a problem. For example:

Jan-March = TWLD
April = rest
May-July = TWLJ
August = rest
Sept-Nov = TWLB
Dec = rest

I'll extend the idea even further. If we have a normal 16 squad TWLD for example with the setup above, each squad can play 2 games per Sunday. Thus each squad can play EVERY SQUAD ... thus one big 16 squad conference and the top 8 make it to playoffs. This makes for a more accurate measurement of who should make playoffs (as opposed to our current 2 conference setup with only a few cross-conference games).

I only care for TWLB and think this idea is brilliant. I don't have to care for TWLD / TWLJ once its being played, for me it would be just like there's no league, which is normal. This way each league will get more attention, and thus be more competitive.

Would mean people would squad hop from basing squads to javing squads though sumpson, ie why would people stay in basingcrew a one league squad, when that league isnt even happening? Youd lose all your players when Lb isnt on.

I dont understand whats the problem with playing TWL games in saturdays. 1pm EST = 8pm Finland. Dont tell me you go out at 8? even 9 or 10. Go out at midnight and comeback at 8am. Thats the way to go!

haha weird .. but yeah, since u eat dinner at 5pm i guess 8pm its already party time. In Portugal we have dinner at 8/9 pm. Clubs open at 1am only and party goes til the morning!

I read 3 posts, but, saturday is horribly bad. Many of us go out during saturdays and many of us have work on mondays (whoever mentioned that idea). I think the system as it is is fine, I have to agree with bram, it's kind of gay to have a 1 league squad getting a match played on Saturday while a 3 league squad is trying to get it all played on Sunday. I could see Saturdays being removed because there really is not point, it just seems a system for the 1 league squads to get the better squads to not show their best line. OH POOEYYYYYYYYY keep it one day. :fear:

As everyone saw on our twld game that the league wont be competive if the matches are played on saturdays. Most of the euros are having fun with friends/working and not wanting to play at that time. It was smart move from sk8 to schedule the game on saturday and disagree on our time wishes. Just saying that its fucking stupid and unfair to make us play on saturdays. I for sure, wont be making any of the games on saturdays, just like most of the euros/alcoholic finns that we have.

I have no idea what others have said on the matter, i havent read the thread. I just feel its unfair to make us play saturday, even weekdays would be better.

First of all, we're euros too. 2nd, the game was at 1pm EST which is from 6pm to 8pm in Europe mostly. 3rd: You wouldnt cause any impact in the game since you suck.

False. I really really doubt this will get more attention to leagues, as you stated yourself when LB wouldn't be on, you'd just ignore LD and LJ, it's not pushing you to be competitive in those leagues.

Due to the time differences, saturday games simply won't work. It'd either have to be Americans playing very early on a saturday morning or Europeans playing very late on saturday night, neither of which are viable options really. Sunday really is the only good day for TWL, as weekdays wouldn't really work either due to most people having a job or a school to go on during the days.
