Good point Geno, but considering that the NFL is considered to have the top commissions in the US, it wouldn't be a bad idea to model ourselves after them.

No, neither the MLB nor the NBA does byes for top seeds. I don't know about the NHL, though.

EDIT: Nope, the NHL doesn't have byes either.

As does every major sporting league in the nation...NHL, MLB, NBA, etc.

An addition to the free ticket to the semis.... if we go with the 'squads that go to semis get an auto-invite for next season' it will also give squads that take the top two places regular season to get a free ticket to next season

    Same.
Gives you an extra reason to try hard to become a top 2 squad and get a free ticket to the semi's.
    Sounds good.

    immaterial:

    Adjective
    1. Of no importance or relevance; inconsequential or irrelevant. 2. Having no material body or form.

This is really getting tiresome. One would think you'd actually look something up before opening your mouth yet again.

Yeah and it's even more fair than the NFL because everyone has the same schedule.

maybe he means in the playoffs, but thats not really biased. they perform well in season, they get advantage in playoffs. pretty logical and i appreciate this change. thanks twl staff for not making it 8 team playoff

How is it biased? Everyone has the same regular season schedule. Win your games and you'll get a bye.

That's quite a biased system which favors the squads that are already on top, I really don't like the way it's set; so improportionate.

    quarters: A: 3v6, B: 4v5
    semis: C: 1vB, D: 2vA
    finals: CvD

that is the system being used

8/12 squads in playoffs is stupid. It pretty much makes the regular season pointless. 6 is the way to go, and use Miku19's system. If two teams get a bye, it gives every team something to work for, whereas with 8 in the playoffs you're pretty much just half-assing it for 3 months to make sure you get 8th place.
