It's all in your head, a common vet notion that 'somewhere "back in the day" there was a real squadron called Siege and I was on it, but now look at all the newbies playing in leagues, and it's not as fun anymore"

WRONG

Siege probably won't be back, and better squads will keep forming. With the constant inflow of newbies, your past will eventually be forgotten and your reputations will phase. Instead, keep playing to get even better than you are/were (if you're still into this game) to uphold your stance. So stop living in the past and act as if 'nobody is or will ever be better than I once were'. Get along with newer players, acknowledge their achievements and move on, instead of forming these so called "washed up vet" squads with inactive people who played over 8 years; and as a result, get owned in TWL. (I'm just generalizing and not pointing out any squads in particular, although it would characterize Rampage ) However, there are still some old players that are still outstanding, but very few. Don't expect to be treated as Gods if your current skill level is worth a zip.

I think many would love to see Siege and Elusive back, or just one. I for one am happy to see Rampage back even if they're having a poor start. Unfortunately I don't think we'll ever see elusive/siege back just for the simple fact that both were successful squads and to bring either back and not have them be as successful would be too detrimental to the squads reputation (or rather the captains ego). That is to say, it's much easier to talk about how good your squad was before it disbanded but to say (and be accurate) your squad dominated before it dissolved and also upon its return years later would be much more difficult.

Ward, a lot of the things you said are generalizations and I do not feel they apply to me in any way, so do not make your response look like it's directed at me. I've made no claims of being a 'god' anymore in this game.

It wasn't directed at you Blood. Your ego is seemingly big, but you're still a competitive player and I respect you for that.

But as I said, I was only generalizing. It just happened to be about the players many of which are currently on Rampage.

I miss the good ole days of playing competitively. Miss a lot of you guys, but too bad I can't enjoy this game anymore. We should have a fake match between all the old players. It would be like Rocky, but worse.
