You should have the bot hold a poll at the end of each game for everyone to vote on a person to be the MVP. You can vote anyone, except yourself.

all twl mvp should be voted on player based, and only allow those who played the game to vote, thats my suggestion. The only TWO TIME TWLJ All-Star and TWLB All-Star who never played a game.

yea mvp is very flawed. but when your using a formula its going to be basically. SHarks have a hard deal by that system as they are the most subjective ship.
although a voting system is a good idea and could give a truer MVP it would probably be personalities and team voting rather than who was the best player in that game.In my world,

Some sharks think it's their job to push on the enemy team and trying to mine on the enemy terrier, even if that means that their own terrier might be exposed (DOA's) or their teammates get EMPd.
Other sharks might think that it's their only job to hang around their own terrier and be sure that their teammates get the chance to attach and recharge and no burst can ever go past them.
What to do? Both strategies are valid, but there is no way you can combine them in a MVP module. Just like camping spiders (IE: Spybreak!), they become MVP while you might argue that they really aren't.
So my preference would go to looking at the shark as a defender, and his concern is to keep his team alive as much as possible. Take the average (DEATHS / GAMETIME) of winning teams, and the average (DEATHS / GAMETIME) of losing teams.
If you just count the amount of repels per life you still know nothing about spacing and timing of the shark's repels. You ate some priest porridge

A shark is like a real life Cig Smoke. They sit there, don't move much, and just get people the hell out of their way. I don't think Trench Wars League should encourage that kind of behavior.

I agree with Zerz... stats mean nothing to sharks. Most of us play differently from one another, and differently from game to game. You cannot define our role very easily, and if you do, you're going to see a lot of disappointed sharks trying to become that definition and letting down their team. Voting is fine, but I don't know a lot of people that watch sharks other than when they make a big play like a TeK, which not everyone, including myself (although if I never mvp my whole life with a voting system, and my team wins, why should I care?), does on a regular basis.
I'd be for the continuation of leaving sharks out of the mvp situation. We do what we must, and most of us enjoy it... I wouldn't change a thing. I believe you should let spiders be defined by most kills and mvp, don't drag us into a statistical or biased battle... let the captains decide who fits the role best.

I agree with what Zerz says but I think if you condense the sharks role in base into one means tested variable it would be, 'How often the enemy terrier successfully enters base'.
So firstly you state that for sharks to be able to claim MVP they must not allow terriers to pass certain pixels on the entrance of the base above a certain number of times. I think for TWL (2 times) would be a good standard.
Further criteria to determine individual sharks on the same team may then go reps per death, TEKs, average deaths of all the spiders, your own terriers TEKs.
Reps per death - must average above (2.7) or something, so you only miss a rep every 10 deaths.
TEKs - (1+)
Average deaths of spiders - (this wouldn't be too harsh as you may have more aggressive spids which isn't necessarily the sharks fault) (40-60) (with game time factored in)
Own TEKs - (2-)

LOL, what is this shit?
There is no convoluted formula that anyone is going to make up to judge a shark MVP properly. The reason being that the shark's main goal isn't to get kills, which makes it impossible to objectively compare to any of the other ships.
There are three options:
-Implement a system where the MVP is voted on: People that played in a game usually have a pretty good idea of who the best players were. If a spider was going under every time and fucking the other team up, it's obvious they were doing well. If brookus survived multiple FR battles and comes out with 0 deaths, he probably was doing really good.
-Go back to the system of highest score = MVP: In this system, the attack ships are really the only ones that have any chance of getting MVP. With the advent of cramming, in a serious game, a shark or terrier is never going to get MVP with this system.
-Get rid of MVP all together and list interesting stats at the end of the game: There are a lot of interesting stats that the bots could theoretically record and display. It's possible to list the spider that did the most energy damage to enemy ships overall, the shark that picked up the most greens, the terrier that had the least attach deaths on his players, etc. The possibilities are endless, and it would really give a much clearer picture of who the better players in the game really were.
If you want an objective MVP system that will allow any ship to get MVP fairly, then MVP formulas are not the answer.sdg
