1) Pandora - Pretty bad when a squad can put up a 10-1 season and nobody really takes notice. What's even worse is if they do somehow manage to win this whole shebang most people still won't care. I wish them luck in real life even though half of them don't ever go outside.

Dunno about Eve, but i'm able to show up for the next match. I sure hope.. and believe that we will play a resonable line with no usless special ships. Imo that means Domi in jav or no specials at all.

Now that "real" games kick off we're surely gonna put a good fight! I hope Thunder shows their best line.

Starting from the top:

PLAYOFF SQUADS

1) Pandora - Pretty bad when a squad can put up a 10-1 season and nobody really takes notice. What's even worse is if they do somehow manage to win this whole shebang most people still won't care. I wish them luck in real life even though half of them don't ever go outside.

2) Dice - They've put up better seasons in the past, but they're still a force as long as they can protect Chief Slapdick from the lines of bullets that he sits in front of. For them to win it all, though, I think they'll need Cape.

3) Thunder - Solid TWLB season from a squad that's more concerned with TWLJ. Nice mix of spider styles plus a good pair of sharks. -F- is a very tough draw for a 3 seed, and I expect a really good game there.

4) Spastic - We lost some matches that we should have won, but overall we'll take 7-4. Threats have been sent to our starters warning them of the consequences for not showing up to these crucial games. I've recorded their names and addresses, and if we don't win TWLB I'm going to their houses one by one and stabbing them with garden shears.

5) Penetrate - After a shaky start they heated up in the second half to lock up a playoff spot. Jeenyuss and royst are one of the most solid shark duos in the league and could carry them pretty deep into the playoffs.

6) -FINAL- - Nothing to say here, really. They don't give a rat's ass about the regular season because they invariably end up in the postseason every year. The lack of Everett lately worries me, but Kawrae is a very capable terr himself, and if he can recapture last season's magic -F- has a strong shot to repeat as champs.

THE REST

7) Disoblige - You couldn't go to any amusement park and get on a rollercoaster that's anything like Diso's TWLB season was. They pushed Spastic to the limit and gave Pandora their only loss of the season (which helped them gain a lot of fans), but they also had a couple of questionable losses that eliminated them from playoff contention. Disappointing season overall.

8) virtuosus - Alright, so they didn't go 0-11. But you can't blame me for thinking that after watching them play 5s and 6s versus Brainwave and TeKs repeatedly to get into the league. Well, whatever, hats off to the Voth Train and friends for picking up a few victories.

9) Mambo - One of the biggest disappointments of the season. Unstable lag on the part of their terrier probably didn't do them any favors, but I figured the return of cremation, combined with Remu and xvr, would have brought them more than 4 wins.

10) Syndicate - What the hell happened here? I know they didn't have many pure basers like the ones that carried them to the finals last year, but 3-8 is just not up to Syndicate standards. Pretty rough season.

11) Anti-Scrub - I said Mambo was one of the biggest disappointments. Well, A-S was THE biggest one. Season 7 champs, perennial playoff contenders.. and now 2-9. Nice gesture on the part of brookus to retire the squad name in Erathia's honor. I will miss seeing the A-S tag around, but it was a really good run and I'm glad the core members will continue on with their new squad.

12) Brainwave - Saving the best for last, obviously. With the way they throttled Penetrate, there's no reason they can't win it all. But in all seriousness, they've made some really nice progress since their days as a lower-tier squad. I hope they stick together and continue to improve.

DISQUALIFIED

xx) BasingCrew - Some nice kids being held down by an idiot captain. That's all I can really say on the subject because I've already written enough about them in my articles.

PREDICTIONS

(3)Thunder vs. (6)-FINAL-: I don't think you'll be seeing Metal Headz anywhere near this match. Both squads should turn out really good lines and this will undoubtedly be the better of the quarterfinal matches. I'm looking for -F- to grind out a win, something like 15-11.

(4)Spastic vs. (5)Penetrate: This isn't the same Penetrate that we wrecked earlier in the season. They're a lot more focused now, and their sharks are amazing as of late. They've been making very few errors, which means our guys will have to step up and make something happen. I have faith in them to do just that, so I'm looking for Spastic to take this one 15-8.
