this thread is funny
i dont think sumpson is (/was) a bad captain, just way too serious. his seriousness did bring them a long way; i'd consider several of their previous seasons successes. however, if he lost his seriousness and interest in teh game itself, the squad was obviously going to suffer and they did.
its as simple as that. oh and i guess it can be said that the skill level of their squad was lower this season than it has been in seasons past.

Well if you can't be arsed with BC anymore, and you don't trust anyone on BC enough to take over, BC is already dead. Either take the chance or save yourself alot of time and effort and kill BC now, your choice :POriginally posted by Sumpson View PostDJS, if I step down, I will have to assign a new cap to take over, I don't really trust anyone else to bring BC to the top level and have the feeling we would only go downhill more.

I don't really see your point PH, oh wait, with you there is often no point, piss off.
Fit, I never wanted Sarger to leave BC, and no I still don't want Kian.
Very well Tsumetai.
DJS, if I step down, I will have to assign a new cap to take over, I don't really trust anyone else to bring BC to the top level and have the feeling we would only go downhill more.

In all seriousness, the second you realised that, shoulda been the exact point you stepped down, all you can do is blame yaself!Originally posted by Sumpson View Postbad capping decissions? like what? haha, great example, I didn't mind you on BasingCrew, you we're alright by me and a very skilled player. but since no one on BC liked you and you had to bitch every single game about bullshit I knew it wasn't good for the squad and had to kick you.
20 players on a squad is good, if they all care about TWLB, how much players on Pandora have played this TWLB? I don't think much more than 20, not more is needed. just gotta have your whole roster capable of playing TWLB. gotta agree BC's roster wasn't, atleast not at the skill level I wanted, whenever they showed up and I had the chance not to add them, I didn't. which made them not show up anymore.. and yah, I have gone 9-1 in TWLB before with a small roster like this. I still believe it is good to not have too many players but lots of active good ones so they get used to playing with eachother.
BasingCrew has had pretty much all of the good basers in the squad at some point, shame there's so much squadhoppers. you can blame me for not providing the squad they want to stay in, but there are many who have been for years.
I don't think BasingCrew is worth the effort anymore, the basing community seems spoiled by big mouth newbies like PH these days who actually get to join staff, wtf all he tries is to piss off players and he gets this tag behind his name which is supposed to say he's helping others..
If it's not someone like skynerd it's a squadhopper, there's too few good basers and most who are are either dickheads or useless squadhoppers.
I don't feel like making this a very nice story so gonna stop typing, I agree BC did fuk up this season, mainly because I didnt care too much anymore, it's been the first season I forgot about TWLB games.
however, I don't think I made much wrong decisions this season, just didn't have much of a roster.. oh yah, neither did I make any wrong decisions on that game where i got voted not player of the week..in case all you got to hear about me was that story of some guy who doesn't know why i did what.

For as much flak as Sumpson's taken I'll still say my times on BC were good. I was on a couple years ago so I don't know if it went all downhill after I left but the squad was fun to be on, I left after I realized basing alone wouldn't suffice for me. I will say it was quite melodramatic when I left but I understand why he reacted so.
