This game is getting old. Pascone is Stirring the kettle a little bit. I think the(his) decision is good. All the old players should have no problem trying to qualify. There is nothing wrong with having to earn a spot. Imagine if the NBA,NFL,or MLB gave automatic playoff bid to teams because they made the playoffs the pervious season. TWL needed a change. this will fuck lots of people near twl roster lock. newbies will allways play easy games and pussy up their ways to play twl.

Newbies can do that now as well, they would just have to play more pussy games since getting into TWL as it is right now, is slim because of all the returning squads who have been auto-qualified.

Everyone knows its easy to qualify for twl. Its because it is this easy some squads shouldnt have to bother doing it cos they are already obviously good enough to be in twl. something they proved last season by reaching semifinals or w/e.

Who knows, maybe they AREN'T good enough. Making semi-finals doesn't mean everything, in fact if they were active through the season and actually cared to DD more by DDing even the newbie squads, perhaps it would have played a big role in the amount of practice all the squadmates had in that particular squad, making it even better than it was, increasing the possibility of them WINNING finals instead of just "making it to semi-finals".

This will finally stop free-loaders from going to TWL. Face it, if you people cared enough about TWL you would get up and actually do something about it; you would actually play games and keep TWD as a WHOLE more active. Currently off-season is very boring because 4 to 6 of the squads that are returning don't care enough to keep up to their game because they are auto-qualified.

Let's step into reality for just a second; before a soldier goes to war (yes a real war), they are checked up to see if they are battle-ready, they do physicals and mental tests and equipment check before they are sent out to do their duty. (Now back to our E-life..) Removing the auto-qualification (or limiting it) can make it so that majority of the players will have to go through the whole "league ready" or w/e you would like to call it, a way to test them to see if they still have what they once had skill-wise. If not, then they can work on it and become more competitive. They can work on it by playing more TWD games, making the league more active all together.

Why not just make it so that the only returning squads are the ones who WON the finals?

This is the argument which wins to me. The TWD ladder system ain't really representive to which squad is good and which squad is not. Squads who have ended well in a previous league are ranked higher than some squad which got ranked high in twd to me. It's pretty easy to get #1 in twd, depends on how you get there tho.

The ONLY thing that matters is that TWL is competitive, otherwise it just diminishes it further. Who the fuck cares who auto-qualifies or whatever you guys are whining about as long as there are 16 (or 12) squads that can hold their own playing in the league.
