lol don't know how many times I gotta explain this to you. The selection process isn't based on your one factor. Based on the TWO factors, your squad had the lowest based on a very reasonable formula.

must have alot of variables and a small amount of constants, where x=whatever pascone thinks should happen.

easy way to prevent this: make minimum games played 40+, raise the opponent avg. to whatever you consider a respectable number. whatever you do, define it with absolutes and no flexibility, unless not enough squads qualify, which is unlikely.

the current requirements are too lax and can easily be abused. keep in mind many squads that are active early in the season are playing each other while everyone is still hovering around the 1000 mark, whereas squads that start late (ie lifeban) are playing 1300+ squads almost every game.

My last comments on this topic is that staff totally abused in this case and it was just flat out wrong to do, we deserve to be in twlj and earned it. This is the kind of results one would expect when playing a video game with children. I suppose I'm really not that shocked.

Because its not a problem. Your squad shouldn't have made twlj. You weren't good enough and just wanted to get in on a technicality. Thankfully points are not the only thing that matters. we tried to tell you this SEVERAL times but you seem to thick to understand. Now I feel for you... Id be mad too if my squad didn't make twlj but get over it dude. Its not like you couldn't have done anything different to really earn a spot.

Fistula deserves to be in TWLJ as much as Plade does. No talk about "Average Opponent Rating" was mentioned prior to qualification. Average opponent rating really means very little, sure some squads go out of their way to avoid tough opponents, that is not the case here though with either squad. Squads were informed publicly they needed 15 games played, and to be ranked, Fistula meets both these requirements.

Sure they could have played more jds, but regardless they met the requirements. If more games were expected that should of been stated months ago. Once again no talk of average opponent rating was brought up.

Plade was very active before TWL. Squad was formed late on the 22nd of September and played frequently, and yet failed to reach top 12. With time that may have changed as they are an active squad.

To qualify for TWL you must have played a minimum of 15 games! Squads will be chosen based on their TWD rankings. Good Luck!

playing 15 games and having one of the top 12 ratings is not what gets you into twl. it's pretty clear actually.

In order for a Trench Wars Division (www.twdivisions.org) squad to qualify for TWL consideration, that squad must meet all Trench Wars Leagues requirements as noted in Section V. Twelve squads will be chosen with requirements based on both TWD standings, including but not limited to, both Rating and Average Opponent Rating. In addition, the squad must have played a minimum of 15 matches in the respective division (Dueling, Javelins, & Basing) they are attempting to qualify for.

A flawed system when a decision like this is based on average opponent rating - which can easily be altered. Conflicting statements about what a squad needs to do to qualify for TWL does not help either. A better system is needed for close cases like this.

People can argue and say which squad is better - put down players and lineups, but why not settle it by having the two squads compete for the final spot. Can also argue about the rules for qualification, them seem unclear/flawed though, so no point in that. I don't think staff are biased or picking favourites. I do believe Confluence & Fistula have a right to feel wronged. I think this matter should be settled fairly, and not end in name calling and discontent. 1 Game - 3 rounds. Both squad's deserve the opportunity to be in TWLJ. The better squad will move on, and a pointless argument will be over.

yes, you are right. And we played enough games as was stated in the rules and we qualified. I dont understand how this logic isnt used for plade, who also had "plenty of time to qualify".
I guess we missed the hidden pascone rule and the mystery magical mathematical formula.

Because playing this match would be forcing staff to admit that there is a serious flaw in the twl qualification structure and "league organization". And rather than doing what the majority of twl players feel is a justifiable solution, they would rather bury their head in the sand and pretend that nothing is wrong.

And you guys wonder why TW community keeps losing players every year.
