TWL ops: lack of communication is disturbing

Its getting pretty annoying that TWL staff seems to consist of people who hardly speak up, let alone make final statements as 'TWL Staff'. I do see Pascone who is active on forums, trying to do his best clarifying some decisions, while he doesn't make decisions by himself. Since Pascone is the only one who speaks up, it feels like a one man show.

Few examples:

- The LJ invitation decision with Plade / Fistula; the majority of the people feels that the decision is unclear / unfair and wants a qualification match. Pascone defends the decision, but most people disagree and 'TWL Staff' fails to hear the sound of the people. Pascone's last comment on this matter was that he 'wasn't in the favour of the idea of arranging a qualification match, but if the other TWL ops agreed with it he'd be fine with it'.
Yet TWL Staff remains silent and doesn't make a final public statement. Instead, they just let the topic bleed to death like they don't care.

- TWL round 1: all (?) games of 2 pm est are being replayed. While the decision was not made by the most important ops of TWL Staff and in some matches lag wasn't a factor, a lot of people who participate in TWL think the call was a mistake. In fact, in at least one match (Dice vs Mambo) people started to spec. Without going to deep into topic, a lot of people disagreed with the decision that was made. One of the Ops who actually had a part in the decision, fails to clarify how the rule applied to all games, instead of just one game. The LJ game with Sage vs Pandora got replayed and changed the total outcome of the game, while in the original game lag wasn't an issue.
Yet TWL Staff remains silent and does not make a final public statement about the case and it's already close to friday.

- TWL round 1: Stray added an ineligable player. Pascone is not sure what 'forfeits' means (50-0, pretty clear) but leaves it to the other Ops to decide what Stray's penalty will be.

I find the lack of communication disturbing, annoying and irritating. The decisions made by staff are not transparant and if people question the decisions made by TWL Staff with good arguments, TWL Staff cannot hide in silence.

It does seems to be a one man show with pascone doing all of the work. TWL is what most players look forward to. P_L and Kim need to find people that can help run, communicate, and organize TWL better. With so many dumb decisions being made, I don't think there will be one next year. People are losing interest. Kim seems to be like one those guys who has a little dick, so he buys a big 4x4 Ford w/ raised tires. Trying to talk to him is useless. He just likes the title.



Why not do a better job? This is the 11th season of TWL, it should be running smoothly right?

2)And the fact that people are supposed to 'LEARN' and sometimes learning means mistakes.
3)At the end of the day, This IS just a 2d game, and we do not get paid for this. This is volunteer work, And we are doing this for the love of the game.

I'm ur m8 but dont make up excuses. Maybe the problem is now we got TO many TWL ops. I remember back when it was basicaly P_L, nethila, and like Rodge_rabbit. That league was very well handled. Every game deciding decisiong (such as sage/pandora replay) should ONLY be held by pascone and the other TOP twl ops. None of these other ppl who are TWL ops for some various stupid reasons.

As for its just a game, sure it is, but its the LEAGUES. Point of leagues is to win. No one wanst to get ripped off or lose because staff fucks them.

About the "we arent being paid bullshit" Thats the stupidest shit dude. Your better then this lol No one is forcing u to be staff or be a TWL op. Most ppl didnt evne know you were a twl op to be honest. So to now make up for ur (staff) mistakes sayin u dont get paid, that doesnt justify fucking up.

And i did notice the appeals and problem games this week were dealt with right away, but that could also be because Kim is on 1 of the squasd who appealed.

Maybe you should consider the fact that TWL staff took a lot of heat for taking too long to come to their appeal conclusions last week, which would give them a reason to act swiftly. Also, once again, I had no word on our appeal. It clearly says so on the TWL rules. Just like how pascone had no say on the Stray game.

Hey i was just throwing situations out there. Like i said, we'll see next time an appeal comes what happens. I never said u had imput on the appeal or not.

And yes they did get alot of heat for it, they should of. Seems like whenever pascone can be involved something gets done. Last week he couldnt bc his squad was 1 of them, and it took a week.
