This is just for TWLB, sorry for the delay folks but without a reliable LD writer we're kind of up shit creek without a paddle. Stop saying "let me write!!!" and actually submit something on the weekend, if it's good we'll use it. it's a lot harder to keep up with an obligation where the only gratitude is not having renzi pm you every week asking if HoN will be up. I'll attribute Week 2's lack of HoN to the wretched scheduling, this week's delay is no one's fault but my own. I went out of town for a Modest Mouse concert earlier on and I've been catching up on sleep ever since.
Hot: Dice, Leitz
Personally I thought the Disoblige vs Dice match last weekend would be one of the top matches all season. We get to see Disoblige not just play another "true contender" like Pandora, but the TWLX-B champs. I expected a close match and although Dice was lobbed a very easy fastball (due to Disoblige's lag (see more in Not)), they didn't falter and sure as fuck knocked one out of the park. I'd just like to say good job to Dice's sharks (Cig Smoke and Dwopple). Whether or not Disoblige's players and specials were lagging out or not, they're still relatively hard to deal with and you managed to control them pretty easily. To Dice's spiders, I commend you for squashing some of the hype behind a 1 jav 1 wb lineup. Led by megaman89 (95-44, MVP), he and his cronies manhandled Disoblige (although I'm sure Da1 appreciated the manhandling part). Whoever was denouncing Chief Utsav, fuck off. Although his rec of 17-4 certainly doesn't look that impressive on paper, only managing 4 deaths against a very deadly Disoblige lineup is the best that's been done this season. Truly a feat that will be hard to match.
I was going to put Leitz in the honourable mention section but this guy deserves a huge shoutout. In what was the closest match last weekend, he managed to lead Mambo to a very nice victory against Style. Leitz racked up 157 kills, snagged a very deserved MVP, and also got the last TeK in the FR that was the true clincher for Mambo.
Honourable Mentions:
Hak (146-91) put up a great effort against Mambo. Peace_Maker managed to die zero times while getting 31 kills vs a lackluster Spastic team. Renzi (will you stop asking me about HoN from now on, I mentioned you fgsfds) also performed well vs Spastic going 88-45. Dutch Baser played very well against Juice grabbing 5 teks. Dead_Rain went 34-1 against Teks, MVPing and killing the terr 3 times. Depho (81 kills, 2 teks) and Zizu (76 kills, 2 teks, MVP) continued the weekly curbstomping of Plade.
The Not will follow when I get home this evening.
