Hello everyone,
Well now that final preparations for the website are being completed we're finally ready to announce the start of TWL.
Next week on Saturday April 5, 2003 at 12am EST we will be locking TWD to pick the final squads to join TWL.
As we have announced over the past months, the squads which qualify for TWL will be the highest ranked TWD squads which are not already in TWL and which have played at least 10 games in their respective TWL Subleague.
With Onix disbanding there are currently:
7 spots open in TWL-D
7 spots open in TWL-J
8 spots open in TWL-B
All three leagues will have 16 squads.
The week after will be TWL's first game of the season which will be a Pre-Season game. This is solely because we have to make sure all the bots are working, and all the refs are ready to serve you. We want to ensure that TWL goes off with as little difficulty as possible.
The week after that TWL Season 6 Round 1 will begin.
Once the squads are picked there will be more information regarding exact schedules and seasonal structure.
Needless to say seasonal games will be one round, and playoff games will be best of three (for all three leagues).
This season you can expect better bots, a website with a fresh new design and more functionality than ever before, and new maps (which will minorly update the current TWL maps), and strict lag limits.
