I know TW has a hard time adjusting or accepting to change, but this was not a random choice. From the 4 spid limit thread I learned that lots of people hate how stale basing has gotten (besides the notable Dice arguments that no changes at all should be made, like they do here) and that many people thought no ship limits were better than a 4 spid limit that others pushed for. Based on that idea, I talked to the other smods and they felt that it could be a positive change and said I should test it out in ?go base, but not TWD. So I did for about 2 weeks until PL took it down because he thought it was "retarded."

Based on the ?go base results, TWL staff decided 2 sharks should still be the max, and keep levi's out. The 2 terr allowance is definitely a change. The question is: is it really that radical? At first glance it may seem so. But are squads really going to use it? Can it be effective? It's one less major fighting ship. Bursts are not going to clear out a squad like a jav or spid could. Players dont need to attach to 2 different terrs. It was tested with good teams, and guess what? 2 terrs failed. So why put it in? Just another creative option.

make lb the same as bd then maybe after this season test two terrs in bd and see how that goes, and if it goes well them implement it to lb

I don't think we should base decisions on changes on a few games of ?go base when most basers who play organized base games play in twd/twl. Most do not play in go base and most that do probably don't agree with this as it is. We should be testing this in a real environment before it being implemented in our most competitive basing league.

I don't like 2 terriers either.. It hasn't been tested anywhere, Next TWL thing, not this TWL thing.

TWL is supposed to be competetive, IMO this change will turn it to a joke.

6 bursts from each teams terrs....the flag room is WAY to small for that....it gets hectic when only one terr from each teams burst....

edit: thats 12 bursts possible at one time for those of you i confused :P

im all for TESTING it out....not a month before TWL though...i say wait til next offseason to test it out like we did with the map change, we finally accept the map change....its just pissing basers off more with ANOTHER change, especially right before TWL...most TWL squads participating in LB dont 8v8 base enough to get a feel for 2 terrs a month before twl....

not sure what "tw staff" you talked to. but to my knowledge the majority of them pub, try to play seriously and fail, or just don't play at all.

2 terriers is a horrible idea, and besides, it has been tested before and the games turned out to be big jokes.

Lol this coming from the person who thought this zone has 8, let alone 10 competitive TWLD squads but has never played TWLD competitively and asked 'captains to pick how many squads should be in TWLD' which would naturally bring about only one answer from the 'majority', lols

Thats why people experienced in the flow of all the leagues should run this stuff

P.S. Looks like Spastic won't be participating..will have to prep up Solstice for some basing =P

Huh...past TWL squads...Pirates, Thunder, Stray, Dice? (Only previous serious twld squads in existence atm I can think of off the top of my head), and thats the majority of current TWDD squads? Lols

Don't be mad just because a lot of other people now realize what I've been seeing for a while..just pointing it out
