out of everybody bashing quicksand you decide to board the train? quicksand isnt in twl for a reason so why do you keep calling heavy quicksand? we didnt make playoffs the only season we played because of sk8 bitching until they got a time when nobody could show up forcing us to forfeit and into a 3 way tie with -final- and squad!! i dont see anybody bashing -f- for getting the same record as we did in the regular season that year (not to mention we beat them in regular season). also, before you decide you want to bash heavy.. atleast make sure your squad is in check. you lost to quake and beat disoblige good job.. see you in twl

They then proceded to say how they were going to rape the competition throughout the season and probably win twl. No matter what you guys say not one of your starting crew has been to a twld playoff match except for annoyance. I'm not trying to talk shit to you personally because you know were buds so I won't attack you here. But finally, all but one of my starters have played playoff matches, three have been to finals ( herc, plob, and weaver,) and plob is a twld champion. We barely lost to quake in what was definitely a hard fought match, which we led a good bit of the time. In closing, my squad is fine. It's yours that is going to have a reality check when you play pirates or quake. See you in the trenches bud.

everyone is overrating everyone this season, no one is that amazing anymore and there are no powerhouse squads these days, the competition is not the same as it used to be, what that means is that Heavy has just as much of a chance of winning TWLD as the rest of the squads in LD do.

That being said, I agree with the playoff argument, however I do not agree with it being a huge factor anymore. Their playoff days were years ago, and also nothing is different from playoff experience or TWL experience beside more spectators. Not many people are bothered by being specced I would think, so I don't believe any of that matters this season.

because you just lost horribly to a squad you would have beat if sake was considered a elite squad.

Im with exalt. Ive seen plenty of TWL seasons over the years. heck I think im one of the few active players who has seen every twl season. One thing is for sure is that their are no more _legacy- squads or Elusive or siege, -final-, or syndicate... Those days are indeed over. And I for one am very glad to see such a level of good competition this year. It makes for entertaining matches and suprise wins.

Back in the day if you werent on Siege or Elusive it was basically pointless. Now days their are a plethorah of squads which have a chance to do very good.

Granted the core population has gone down, but that makes a mixture we've never had before. We've got a ton of mid-tier people finally stepping up because alot of the old elites have stepped down - but not all of them out. I think we will see squads like those again if things keep going, and they will be birthed in the current competition.

pascone, Sake isn't Stray, close but no cigar. Other squads just have more depth, and while I wasn't here last season, I doubt you'd win again with how many people apparently hate your actions. If Sake gets in playoffs or finals, whoever you're up against will be ready for the challenge, and will imo, just want it more and try harder.

1: Quake: Edged out Pirates in a tough battle. Will remain number one most likely throughout the season unless upset by a squad such as Heavy, Thunder, Sweet, or Dynasty. Very good individual players, getting good at teaming as well. Led by Deez.

2: Pirates: Second right now next to Quake. Good individual players with excellent teaming. Probably the most experienced line in the league. Likely to remain in the top 3. Week one was probably a warmup for a late playoff match.

4: Heavy: I place them at number three. Heavy's normal players reinforced with with quicksand's two best players and best shitstirrer. Great attacking team but will remain at third until they prove their worth against a good squad. Lack playoff experience.

4: Thunder: You might ask why I am putting these people at fourth. The reason is experience. Just because they were surprised by dynasty, does not mean that dynasty is better than them because, frankly, they've proven themselves as tough playoff contenders throughout the last several seasons. They team quite well because most of them have played together for seasons. The match they lost should have been a gut check.

5: Sweet: This team is actually quite good. I like their style, and they have a great leader in Jones. Beat sake, in a match they were supposed to lose. They may or may not take that last playoff spot from Dynasty and Sake. I personally hope that they do.

6: Dynasty: Ok, you beat syne, and upset an unready thunder. Keep up the good work and you will take the fifth playoff spot. You won't move up, in my opinion, until you prove yourselves further. Greatly rely on one laggy player.

7: Sake: There is a good chance that these guys will be the ones to take the last playoff spot. However, they will have to beat a couple of the higher teir squads and definitely beat dynasty. They have good players but lack their mojo, Delectable, unless he is aliasing as one of the many random newbies on their roster. That is likely, however, and that is why they could very easily take the fifth spot.

8: Disoblige: These guys aren't that great in warbirds. But they are experienced and could possibly upset some squads. Definitely better than rape or syne though.

9: Rape: Decent team, I suppose. Better at twd than twl with their suicidal tactics that they are not as good at as Heavy. They might upset some squads?

10: Syne: Just bad. Hope they stay in for the leagues sake.
