TWLB All Star Contention

I made my allstar lineup based on performances so far this season. I don't have a doubt in my mind that mm89 and cripple and brilliant spiders. They deserve all the credit in the world, but truth be told, as amazing as they are in the green ship, they have not made ENOUGH of a difference for their team to be included in my imaginary lineup. I don't mean to discredit your spiders mega. I picked anidalife for he is having a pretty good season considering it is his first. I firmly believe he is easily twice as good as grandmastahs or downfall. Turban is not the best spider in TWLB, but he is a playmaker, he pushes, he gets teks, he helps his team win games. THAT, my 2 dimensional friends, is why he is on my list.

I also tried to make my lineups with an even distribution of all the teams, which is the way it should be.

Turban has amazed me and after being made (C) of pirates he has yet to disappoint me. i mean i gave him a few tips to improve his game and this guy took it to heart. he pushes like a mofo at the right times....hes pro status. but comparing to crip....it all depends when they face eachother. nothing more....cant base performance to something that hasnt happened. for all i know dice could step up and kill us last game of reg season...just gotta wait

on other terms: Turban over all the other superior basers? rofll not to be bias, but Turban will never be good, guy sits back and vulches more then humid's ear camping. Pene has alot of superior spids that should be in there, idk where humi is either, only basers that should be on Pirates from that list are dwop/mattey/zizu. Turban still needs to learn to go positive vs Deliria before he can play another league.

I push in our lbs while nimbo for example camps the corners when attacking the cram. It has worked pretty good so far, and I dont think you can really list the "best" spiders based on only their rec. Anyone remember mikes from a few years back? he was only playing underflag and was easily one of the top spiders back then (i won twlb on dice with him) even though there was always someone else who got +20 kills more than him. Kills count, but in the end its the team effort and flag time that wins games.

yea I agree it’s not all about rec and often some of the key players are overlooked in making allstar teams etc…

that’s why lizard did a good job as he didn’t go on rec but from what he’s seen so far and the things that have impressed him and not on win/loose record etc…

It’s all of course is very subjective, that’s why it’s fun !

It’s the same in football, Ronaldo might grab the man of the match award for scoring a great goal and indeed people like that are lots more likely to win awards than say Vidic even though man utd have 10 clean sheets in the league and been winning a fair few 1-0 and he is an integral part of that as it’s a team game.

So the same is the case with spiders, you can be more defensive in your role and camp more and pick up a great K : D ratio that catches the eye or you can do an impressive push hit a fc and kill six players including the terr and notch up a few important teks, both are important as ultra camping is not good for the team as is constantly suicideing (*cough*) so its about finding a balance in play and spiders that can make the right decisions and switch.

No. This thread was asking who would be an All-Star this season. It doesn't matter if you've won every single basing title from the first - you and your squad have sucked balls this season.

Try to take a tip from whoever it was that said this just wasn't your active season (a2m/mm89) and lose with some grace. Accept that hey, this just isn't your season, and stop attacking everyone that says you might not be as good as Turban (who I'm sorry, this season comparision, IS better than you) and just relax. Try to stir up some shit in your last 3 games. You really wanna prove something? Beat us in week 7.
