Basing and dueling both require teaming, whereas basing requires more strategy and more of an explanation to a newcomer. So many new terms.
Think about it, if a newbie just started ss. Would he be more apt to learn all these new strategies? Or jump into dd / jd matches.
Much easier to adapt to dd/jd.
