I might not of been core but quicksand was still my birth place, I got noticed for my skill from being on quicksand and that's why I have alot of respect for the squad.

You spent your entire time in this game joining new squads every week, lying to people about sticking around for twl, but always left the second the grass looked greener on the other side, and the second a squad didn't start you in every single game or called you out for something you would leave them. Sure you were good for a season or two but needless to say it wasn't worth it when dealing with your emoraging and lack of loyalty. Now you want to be a part of a group or claim to deserve something but either couldn't be further from the truth. Thats what happens when you backstab everyone, constantly lie to people, and cheat. You reap what you sow.

Quicksand has developed some of the best warbirds this game has seen. If it wasn't for us quicksand bunch, people would still be mid ranging and sniping.

QS isn't QS without me and Izor, also Geio/KK/Weak etc were fairly inactive during some weeks in TWLD. Besides finding people that can rush out of the blue isn't easy. Hence teaming up with Delect and Apok, like I said pretty sure we paid our dues when we brought 7-8 players from nothing to TWLD starters on the best squads the zone has to offer. I wouldnt want to start from scratch again.

Quicksand was so much fun back in 04, I got noticed By ice for my skill from quicksand by fireballz, I was literally hitting 16-4's every twdd match, me and izor was a killer combo in 04. I had talent and kthx and izor noticed it and they taught me my ego I have to this day.

This might sound silly but im working on that myself. I've been playing twd with the same core of guys for almost a year now and we will try to qualify for twld. Also I understand that Quicksand started from nothing and really became prominent over time, but why merge with rivals such as epidemic/mad/quake to get a title? Its true that alot of quicksands' starters such as izor and you left but they could of worked with the people they had. Look at sweet for instance, its the same group of guys + 2 others. I think at this stage of the game its impossible to squad without caring about past player alignments but it doesn't mean a full out merger of 3 top squads from previous years is the answer.

edit: would like to add in that a few players joining squads together actually does make a difference, otherwise pandora and savanger wouldnt of been in TWLD, also it might be too late to get pubbers into the twld atmosphere because the learning curve to be decent at this game is sort of high...but ya i agree there are alot of those players who have been playing for years and if worked with properly could prove beneficial to the future of twl

You forget that six years ago nobody on Quicksand or Heavy for that matter was anyone of importance. I think I did my duty by captaining QS for so long and bringing so much talent to the forefront of this zone. Maybe instead of complaining about a few squads merging which naturally happens over time you should do what I did and start a squad from scratch, develop a strong and loyal core that would rejoin every single year, play thousands of games with those same players, and make it to the TWLD-FInals with that same core after half a decade.

Having Racka join Renzi's Sister and Apok join Syne isn't going to make TWLD better, its finding the talent from pubs and spending years teaching them how to play so that instead of moving around the same 50 players who form the power squads, you add another 10 or so players into that bracket and have a 4th squad instead of just three that makes things better.

It didn't have to come down to that. Pascone tried several times to recreate epidemic but he failed mainly because no wbs took the initiative to help another squad out. Kyou is quicksand and Deluge is epidemic when it comes down to it, and ive seen both flame the rival squad on countless occasions. Especially after last years semifinals between quicksand and epidemic there was bad blood, so to see both of these merge was pathetic. It is true that many of the Mad players were friends with QS but still this whole idea of combining squads was terrible for TWLD and id really like to see more people take charge and create squads instead of hopping onto one super squad.
