I haven't been seeing enough TWLB action on forums thus far, so I thought I would talk about round 1 and kick start round 2 for ya'll.
Hot or Not - Week 1
Since all of the LB games were either at 3:00 or 4:00, it was difficult to see each of them in their entirety. Fortunately, Paladen sucks so bad that I was able to start watching real games after about 16 mins (thanks renzi). And by the way, that wraps up the Pandora-Paladen game, with Pandora winning easily 15:00 - 1:43. The game's highlight came when renzi went mentally afk for 38 seconds and died while "reading a magazine." That's the kind of excitement that we can expect Paladen to provide for TWLB this season.
Without bothering to say gg I switched to the Spastic - Dice match which I immediately perceived to be in complete disarray. First of all, Spastic was winning. Second of all, the spec chat was a shit storm with everyone arguing over whether the game was going to be appealed because of a jupe or bot lag or whatever Hulk decides it was. As I saw dice struggling and failing to break the cram I was gladdened, because I consider Dice to be the better squad, and I want them to lose so that maybe I don't have to play them in the playoffs. But then after I saw Spastic controlling the game I started to think that maybethey were in fact the better squad now, and I should want Dice to win instead. It was a difficult time for me and I just decided to root against each team, and it seemed to have succeeded. For even though Spastic won, there is at this very moment an equally confused young man named Hulk who is struggling to bring switch justice to a dazed community--a community that will undoubtedly explode into a 6 page flame war between the disputing parties, and Eelam. Spastic 15:00 - 10:39. Spastic's spiders were on point, Jamal led the way, this could be a semi-finalist team.
I did not have the ability to catch Sage beat Disoblige 15:00 - 00:30, and neither did Disoblige apparently. And I know when someone says that, you think to yourself, "Hey, if you didn't watch the game, don't talk about it, and don't even try to tell us who MVP'd and pretend we couldn't do that on our own." Well, if Disoblige managed to get into that crucial 16th minute of game play I may have been able to reach the arena in time, but i couldn't. And I really wanted to see Jerome in action, oh well, I guess I'll have to wait til next week. Oh ya, Superstar Prokiller got MVP. I remember when this guy was on Mambo like 7 years ago, and he sucked, but now he is the MVP. Which one of those letters stands for cheating faggot? (jk one love)
I thought the next game, Thunder vs. A-S, would be the closest this week, and boy was I wrong. You see, in my mind both of these teams sucked, but it turns out that only one of them does, A-S. And we all knew that. But Thunder is one of the 2 wild cards this season, along with Hit. I have personally sharked and trained both Mythril and Violence and this makes them as awesome as they can possibly be while not on Pandora. Don't you hate it when Hot or Not threads contain a bunch of stuff about the author, yeah me too. And then you got a set of spiders that are pretty good, too, considering I did not train them. I mean, I would be incredibly disappointed if I ever lost to these guys, but look for them to upset one of the other squads. You may look at one of their names and scratch your head and think, "Gee I'm pretty sure this guy (e.g. maketso) is garbage," but as I watched them play it was really working well. I am looking forward to seeing them play against a real squad. Thunder 15:00 - 3:51.
Brings us to the last game, which was closer than I thought it would be, with Penetrate beating Hit 15:00 - 10:53. The way I see it, Hit will be fighting Thunder for 6th place this season. They have a couple of semi-finalist type players, not 8, but it's early and time will tell. For Hit, Sika and Domi stand out like 2 soar thumbs, and I think we all know what they are soar from. What I'm talking about here people is butt sex ladies and gentlemen. It's fun to talk shit to them because they will never say anything back, don't you agree? But god damn, they aren't bad at it are they. I'm still talking about anal sex. As for the game, well, it was a doozy (this is where you should be beginning to wonder if I watched this game either.) Domi was flying all over the place at super sonic speeds, making you think half the time that he is a fucking wizard and the other half that he is some joke fuck, but by the time you change your mind, he has changed locations 10 times and died twice. It must be fun trying to attach to him. Hit has some good spids, and they put up some good scores, but Penetrate is just too good. Tsumetai came out of early retirement to lay down 115 kills, Veloce and Plenty are one of the best pairs in the game, Cintra is a top notch terr. They are all dependable, battle hardened veterans, and Turmio. Exploit Turmio. All in all, the game was not as close as it seems, as I just got to the bottom of the score board and saw Zhou in spider shark and then jav.
Predictions - Round 2
1.Thunder vs Sage: This will be one of the best game to watch in order to see if Sage can live up to a superb TWD season and squash Thunder, or if Thunder's very decent line up can rise and become a new contender in TWLB. I would expect this game to be very close, and for Sage to come out with a close victory. I hope they both lose.
2. Dice vs Penetrate: I hope I don't play at the same time as this these guys, I could probably recruit a pubber to replace me and manage to beat Disoblige, but you know, and maybe I'm wrong, I have a feeling that Dice will be coming in hot next week. Don't forget, Megaman89 and Stayon both didn't play last week unless I'm mistaken, and they will want blood, especially after their appeal gets shattered by Pure-Luck's iron tyrannical fist. This will be such an intense game if both teams have all of their starters, ooh it gives me chills just thinking about it.
3. Disoblige vs. Pandora: Come on. I know we have a curse against Disoblige, and if da1andonly shows up in jav I may need to start breathing into a paper bag, but they didn't get a minute off of Sage. I consider this a bye week.
4. Hit vs Paladen: Maybe when Paladen plays Diso or A-S I will bother writing about a game involving Paladen.
5. Spastic vs. Anti-Scrub: Well I sort of considered Spastic to be the 5th best squad, but that changed after they beat Dice in the game that may get appealed. Whether it gets appealed or not, Spastic played really well, and it will be a tough race to see who gets into the final four. But that race will not begin on this day, as A-S has some really nice people on their squad who have plenty of potential, and brookus.
