my suggestion was to create a system (amateur league) that serves as a bridge for new players to get interested in getting good enough for TWL. I don't see pub or TWD capable of doing that.

Building a squad, competing vs. other squads is fun, even more fun when the game has more meaning than TWD. That is what this system should strive for. Nowhere have I suggested that we should shrink/up the number of squads that qualify for TWL.

TWL has always had mediocre players and teams, so your suggesting taking those mediocre squads and putting them in AML.

Hey, if you want to make this league competitive then you shouldn't let newbies in. But no, I am not suggesting they should be put there. I want more squads in TWL to ensure its longevity. more squads means more people means this game will last a little longer.

The problem people see with letting more squads in is that they want the league to be competitive which is fine. That is why I suggested TWL and aml should be two different things.

How about improving on TWD instead of implementing a whole new system? 5 minute idea inc...host a small tournament for the top teams on TWD at the end of every month...maybe the top 6-8 for each league? Reward winners somehow...pubbux? no idea...reset TWD ladder. Repeat whole thing next month. Create a place on TWD website to record these events ofc...etc...etc...

Good luck with that, crazy. Current TW staff won't even show up for TWDT games let alone do what u propose. It's a great idea, make no mistakes, but it won't be done. Ever.

Then do it like this:

TWL:
- 8 top squads from TWD qualify directly (per league)
- They play normal TWL Season + Playoffs as usual

TWAT (Amateur Tournament)
- This is hosted directly after TWL for the remaining squads as a tournament (quarterfinals, semifinals and finals) and the winners get a spot in next TWL
- Players, who played TWL, cannot participate in this Tournament (Staff can check this ezily)
- If the winning team dissolves or isn't eligible to play next TWL, ask the players who won this tournament to make a squad together before TWL starts, else start TWL without them

TWDL (Duelling League)
- Each month, as crazy suggested, host a small tournament at the end and let top 8 squads participate in a Tournament (same as TWAT) and they get some kind of reward afterwards (spacebux, TWL invitation (players only), their own ideas for hosting events etc.)
- Implement some kind of system on the TWD site to show who won each month, their average kills/deaths in this tournament, MVP of the month, Rookie of the month, MUP (Most Useless Pro or Player) etc.

This shouldn't be too difficult to make, just need a few people interested to host it and some bot/webdevs to make smaller changes for TWD site and bots.
