Good feedback from turban and eph all trolling aside when I set the guidelines for the all-stars I knew putting it to public voting via forums was a 50/50 move as stated above alot of players dont even check this. Judging by the results voting needs to be re-evaluated for next season should all-stars occur again as I wont be running it to ensure it. But thank you for the good feedback its definitely worth noting.

Only people who were in spec for at least 10 minutes will be able to respond.

Voting through forums is a bad idea because only 15 people voted, but this idea will have even less people voting. Fuck voting, just pick the 10 highest killers from each league and the all star game will actually have meaning because players will try to get into it by racking up kills throughout the season. Stats have a much higher chance of proving who the best is, not specing forum goers.

Top stats comparison would be an easy fix, but I think it's biased in the sense that A) Favors players on super stacked squads with an elite, well rounded spid line (plus top tier sharks/terrs backing them up). B) Doesn't take into account "game changing players" on mediocre teams. C) Doesn't take into account "Spids who camp retardedly all game long" Racking up 'stats' D) Doesn't take into account spids who've been playing under every single game through reg season.

Lets see it starts with players like Beam ranting in pub and in pms but carries through to retards like your cap Zidane. Funny but never had a title before last season. Both got curb stomped when they were on Thunder.


also while i'm on this topic, i would like to remind you that twl is still in a fairly good state. there's a bunch of teams capable of winning a title in each league, with TWLJ being the most competitive one featuring four strong teams. there's only one reason why twl is slowly losing its flair and that is because there are way too many "filler" teams prolonging the season.

The reason TWL has lost its flair, is the same group of players have played together on Thunder, Dice etc for since Season 9-10 or even earlier. The rivalry between dice and thunder (Pandora) is boring and non existent to when they are interchanging players like Cape, Children, Best etc. When Thunder got curb stomped in Season 16, it was time to for a stronger group, and get players like Myth, Best, Rough etc to help carry. What is Pandora? It used to be a basing squad. But the caps like Vatican Assasin, Sarger etc got tired of being curb stomped and decided merging with group like Thunder would give them a better chance

Any win by a squad this season like Value, Enemy etc in LJ, LD, LB will be an upset.

twl should be more exclusive. less teams, shorter seasons, more competition. it's killing the zone to have a three week waiting period from regular season to semi-finals.

Less teams? shorter seasons? LOL what a jackass idea for a leauge that only runs once a year. How about TWL being more inclusive to Trench Wars players, with more squads, better competition etc.

And we both know that things wont change, regarding where players squad. So continue to watch the league decline, and continue to try and convince yourself that its a competitive one.

Are you serious? You're so wrong it's ridiculous... Pandora is nothing at all like Thunder. Every season since its creation (season 10) Thunder had a different line for every league. By the time season 16 rolled around the only original thunder members remaining were myself and Tsunami. What's the point in continuing a squad with an entirely different roster? To call Pandora 'Thunder' is like me calling Real 'Syndicate' just because you had two similar members. Pandora has its own identity, which allows me to squad with Cape and other players I never would have played with in Thunder. Vati and Sarger certainly weren't in need of any help, nor did either of them even have anything to with this supposed master scheme to win LB. They just wanted to play the occasional basing game when they logged on.

I probably shouldn't have said anything, but whatever. It feels like all of my posts are negative, I just had to comment on this one.

Here is an evaluation of the TWLB All-Stars from the stats thread I made earlier:



I think the voting wasn't too bad, even if it is a poor sample and rather subjective. Looking at it statistically and more objectively, I think there are 3 really glaring omissions:

1. Cripple - Has been the top player via any metric I derive two years in a row, he's just insanely dominant and efficient, and he's #1 by a mile. It's insane he's not an All-Star.

2. JammyJames - Warhable has no representation and they went from a joke to a serious threat, and upset Dudgeon, who 15-0'd Fierce, and nearly upset the game the week prior. Jammy was a huge impact player on the worst squad in TWLB with a ridiculous 98 Kills Per 30 Minutes, which is the same as JAMAL on Dice.

3. Mcvicar - Him and Kess were the best Underspiders in TWL this year by a significant margin, along with their partners Hulk and Stayon. They're so far ahead of the pack it's not even close. Kess is the only underspider represented in the All-Star game, yet 40% of spider lines are comprised of Underspids. This is a pretty big oversight.


Other than that, I don't think Spezza (best spider in the game) or Jack are snubs, they only played 2 games and I think 3 is a good minimum, even if they were fantastic this season. I don't consider me, WBM, or Shayde omissions either, we're all on dominant squads and well represented in the game already.

Last Standing and TomatoSpiders were pretty close in output for Fierce, so I think one of the two is fine. Similarly, Leitz and Zizzo weren't far apart, so Leitz is a solid choice.

Burnt, Schope, Dice, and Ricko are all pretty close in output, so picking Dice for Value is okay.

I think if you wanted a more objective list, but with squad variety, something like this might have been ideal, where you take 1 overspid max from each of the four squads, then the best under from each conference + 1 shark per squad max:

This discussion is getting boring now. I will say this though, when your players constantly troll and act like retards they deserve to be flamed. Took a 6month break off TW before, log in and within days I have retards like Beam messaging me and trolling. The way I see things is if the players on the so called "best" squads set the tone with acting like trolls, retards, etc durin games, in pub to the new players, in javduels to the new players and back it up with hilarious game play they deserve no respect. Back in the day it was more competition, more respect for other squads and players etc. That's gone for the most part now. What I see now is indifference and attitudes. Lame aliasers like Hurricane aka Torcher aka requiem reinventing themselves.

TWL Season 16 was a good example of some Thunder players doing the trolling and flaming that you encourage Ease, then getting curb stomped by a Real squad formed in 3-4 months.
Ease you have generally acted like bitch since season 9-10 after Fbz, myself Demonfaze very briefly joined Sk8 one summer then reformed Synd. Maybe the hate started in the onyx days when Psymorph joined Elusive. Who knows. I see that time period that changed Sk8 from being an average aimless squad to one that become a contender with Thunder. If anything ill take a "thank you" from you.

Yeah stats never provide a complete picture. No one wants to login and see an all star game that contains the majority of the players to be from a handful of stacked squads. Players who rock it while playing for non contenders deserve to be noticed and added. When TWL is as short as it is, stats really say very little. The all star game has never really been a quality event in TWL period. Maybe it should be reinvented and created in a way that the majority agree with it, and want to login and see whats going down.

I'm talking Thunder core, half the zone has been in Thunder at some point. Just because someone was on the squad for a month or two doesn't identify them with the squad. Maybe two players you listed played TWL more than one season with the squad, and Fludd hasn't played a single game of TWL in years. You're right I suppose, I do owe you guys for leaving Sk8 so we could win LD and send you guys packing the same season. Sk8 was a contender long before you guys joined and tried to screw with the squad. In fact, by the time the syndi players joined Sk8 had already reached LJ finals.
