I agree with Turb, although I would add that ‘vets’ don’t lose skills but rather eventually become bored and/or apathetic. (As I am sure VA knows better than anyone, after you have repped 250,000 times for ungrateful spiders who think you sole purpose is to be their personal shark, it gets kinds old.)
<Eph rant> In my mind the truly greatest players are those who continue to try to help the zone in whatever capacity. Becoming skilled at shooting a digital bullet across the screen can be taught to a monkey. But to be willing to contribute even when you simply want to say ‘fuck this’ is rare. Having a player who is willing to step outside the comfort of a stacked team to help lesser players is even rarer. But for whatever reason TW doesn’t reward these types players; instead we hand out little icon rings and praise other things. </Eph rant>
