okay, as Ricko and Wax, both of who are TWL operators, want the time increased back to 15 .. I guess I will see if I can get a developer to do it on time.

Does being in the minority mean I cannot voice my opinion? Few people like downsizing. I don’t want to see this done, it is simply a question of feasibility. Ideally we would have plenty of population to justify 5-6 competitive TWLB teams but sad fact is that we don’t. Instead we have the same 15-20 foundational people stacking on the same 2-3 teams year after year. This isn’t healthy nor is it sustainable.

Please also note that I have not suggested dropping TWLD or TWLJ since they take less players and we seem to be holding on for now. TWLB is struggling more, obviously needing more players to remain competitive. Turb opened this discussion when he suggested changing the way squads were formed for this year, shortening the TWLB game duration, and the shortening the length of the season. Asking the question of ‘do we continue’ is absolutely a legitimate discussion to have even if you don’t agree with it or if you don’t like it.
I am not sure you understood my statement about the game time duration. My point was that increasing the time of a TWLB game, no matter what it is, will always increase the possibly of a comeback by definition.

Last time wanted to increase the time (for playoffs when it went to 20 minutes) no testing was done and the arena crashed and burned. When I now hear “I will see if I can get a developer to do it in time” it sounds like there will be little or no testing. Is this true?

Don't worry about it, this is the last TWL that will be played either way. TWLB will be dead and LD and LJ will both have 4 squads which will all compete for who has no-life irl.

at least make a new thread instead of totally trying to derail this one. this thread is about 12 minute basing games vs 15 minute basing games. it is not about getting rid of twlb altogether.

I don't have time to leave a legit reply but I really don't see the point in 2 games a weekend for LB and I also think its a complete joke that the timed race is to 12. Makes me not want to play

I sympathize with the 'pros' from a moderator standpoint.. But from a player standpoint, I have to disagree with "anything over 10 minutes is enough to decide". One game changing cram can be taken, and held for any amount of time. Anything can happen in the final minutes of a good matchup. That's what makes it exciting. If 15 minutes is allotted for TWBD, you can't just have 12 minutes in TWLB.

if i were to say "twlb after season 14 is shit all the pro's retired" you might say no, the game has changed, and indeed it has but also this brings into question the concept of the "final minutes" - a pro should be able to win no matter the timeframe. if people like best can be considered legitimate TWL contenders the8n obv we need a shitload of re-thinking when it comes to the definition of a proper TWL match
